A simple gold chain as a lovely collar.
A delicate padlock bracelet to represent a locked relationship.

If you Google the words "Dominant and submissive" and view the images, 99% portray a sexual situation of some level involving BDSM.
Yet, the image which I have chosen (above), in my opinion, truly demonstrates a heterosexual Dominant submissive relationship.
There's an emotional closeness that both should naturally initially desire.
The Dominant should be clearly invested in the guidance, protection and concern for the submissive.
In order to reach this level of closeness, the Dominant and submissive should both place sexuality on pause. Your sensuality will be absolutely burning with the deepest passion.
Wait.
The Dominant would want to know the submissive as a person first. What makes your submissive a submissive. What makes her smile? What does she most wish for in her life?
In other words, know your submissive personally. Understand your potential submissive's personality.
In turn, the submissive should enter this potential relationship s l o w l y.
There is no reason nor need to rush into a sexual situation where you have no knowledge about your potential Dominant. To do so not only robs you of the amazing potential for the relationship, it might also place you in a not so good situation.
Conversation. Discussion. Fun. Enjoyment. Doing simple things together. A little bit at a time.
A submissive should never weigh more than a feather upon the Dominant's shoulders. In other words, have the propensity and ability to take care of yourself first.
Yes, you can let your Dominant care for you, but this should be a very gradual process. Always keep that ability to make it on your own. Your Dominant will not think any less of you. In fact, your Dominant will glow with pride knowing.
Of course the Dominant will nuture and guide you, and always be there to catch you, if you stumble or fall.
Each one of us is different. But take a few weeks or months getting to know each other deeply and better. Rushing fast into sex will cloud your clarity of depth and ultimately make your potential relationship superficial.
Personally, I view this relationship as life altering. The incredible bond forged. The ability to invite another into your life, heart and soul.
By the time you are ready to make that sexual commitment, there will be no trepidation, nothing to be uneasy or self conscious about.
You will enter your shared passions with a completely different level and depth.
The relationship of your lifetime.
That once in a lifetime bond.
Isn't this something worthwhile to reach for?
