Hi. My name is Leslie. Most of you know me as the mun behind Steve Rogers (flewintotheice) and most of you know everything I’ve been going through since before Christmas last year. After several months of chemo and radiation, I was finally able to have the needed surgery earlier this month. Recently, I turned in paperwork and applications to get on state medical aid and social security disability. However, I’ve been told both of these could take up to 10 weeks or even longer, depending on all the government problems right now. At the moment, I am trying to raise a total of $3500 in order to make sure my medical expenses are covered through the end of the year. This is money that I will be using for my new prescriptions and to cover my upcoming doctor’s appointments and blood work as well. At the moment, I am trying to find a job but most people see me in an interview, find out I’ve been sick, and rarely want to hire anyone in my condition.
There are two ways you can help me. I have a gofundme page which you can access here: My Fundraiser . As of today, you guys have helped me raise $861 and I am so very grateful for that.
I also have an Etsy store which you can access here: My Etsy Store . You will find homemade goods and quilting/sewing material. My daughter is in the process of making some jewelry to add to my page as well as some small paintings, too. I will also be adding framed photographs I’ve taken as well.
If you can’t help financially, I hope you will at least take the time to reblog this and get the word out for me. I appreciate you all so much.
My goal at the moment is to have a total of $2000 raised by the end of the month. Given that I’ve already raised $861, that means I need to raise the remaining $1139 in the next 15 days. This will be in time for a scan that I need as well as my prescriptions which I was due to pick up yesterday but couldn’t.

Things have begun to get very desperate for me at this time. I’m in need of another biopsy. I’ve lost my regular internet capabilities and might soon lose my phone as well. At the moment, we are behind on the house payment and my dad is having to call in to work because we do not have the money for gas for his car. I also don’t have the money to ride the bus to my remaining appointments this week which include the social security office as I’m trying to get disability benefits and the health and human services office where i’m trying to get medical and other help.
I’m asking for help as quickly as possible at this point. The money already raised has been put to the most recent medical bill which arrived on Monday. At the moment, I don’t have any of the medications I’m supposed to be taking which means I am in a significant amount of pain almost 24/7.

RP Pro Tip 3:
Anyone who’s used Tumblr for more than 5 minutes knows that it uses a block of lines on the left side of a text post to designate comments from different users. When these start to build up, Tumblr automatically switches to reblogging posts as links to keep the dashboard looking clean. Roleplayers know that reblogging posts as links is a no-no (or did you miss that tip?) and reblog all of their posts as text. However, this means that extensive conversation can build up.
Untrimmed posts look like this:
Not only is it an eyesore, the text is distributed one letter per line. That means they go on forever and require a tedious amount of scrolling to bypass. How do you trim posts?
Place your cursor in front of the first letter of text on one of your previous posts, two or three posts before your current one.
Select all the text above and delete it. Some people delete everything, including the URL links. I generally try to keep the URLs properly lined up with their quoted text.
It’s easy, folks. For the sake of common courtesy, do it. Everybody has their own preference for how far back to trim posts, but depending on the length of the posts in question, 2-4 is ideal for keeping the dashboard clean.

Carter took off her jacket and walked right in, “And what have you been doing?” She walked right in and smiled, “This place hasn’t changed. It’s really good to see you again. And actually, I’d love something to drink and eat. I figure you haven’t eaten either so why don’t we dine?” She looked at Marley and tilted her head with a slight smile, maybe because Rory knew that they were both friends, and they were both in different places, he figured he can use his job as a way to get both. She shook her head and sat down her jacket, “So Mar, how long has it been?”
Walking into the kitchen she glanced at the clock on the stove, seeing that it closer to lunchtime than anything else. “Not much has changed here.” she admitted, opening the fridge to pull out two bottles of water. She set them on the bar counter and smiled warmly, gesturing for Carter to sit down. “I’m still just running the bar and not much else.” she chuckled, turning back to the fridge to pull out some fresh vegetables for a salad and some fruit she’d already cut up and stored the night before. Setting the items on the bar counter across from Carter her hands went to work cutting fresh tomato and cucumber. She faltered at Carter’s question, her eyebrows knitting together in thought. “Um….I think about six months since we’ve seen each other.” she mused, unable to bite her tongue because it was obvious what the elephant in the room was. “How long?” she started. “About four months since Rory disappeared?” she asked, her stomach sinking because she hoped her suspicions weren’t right but then again…Carter was one of her best friends and if someone had hurt either of them then that person didn’t need to be protected. “He was here a lot….and he was in L.A a lot.”
Carter sat behind the bar counter and watched her make a salad. She took a water bottle and sipped from it. She nodded showing Marley she was listening to her. She lightly smiled, "I'm sorry it's been forever since I've been with you, well seen you." She took another sip when Marley had mentioned Rory. She had taken in a big gulp after she had heard that he has been there for a while. "Yeah, like four months or longer. Rory has also been in L.A." Carter rubbed the back of her neck as she felt as is she had seen a ghost. "I hope he didn't do what I think he did to the both of us."
