I want to so desperately write a daemon fic where he is resting after his knights killed all the criminals in the city, and there is this gorgeous little creature, dragonseed, who gets all flirtatious with him and it’s like hey, daemon’s interested, he’s following her behind the sheer drapes, but she looks young, and he’s asking her who her mother is, where she lived and what she did, and all sorts of questions because she’s looking a little too good to him, and he wants to know what Targaryen/Velaryon she comes from, to know if he might’ve met her mother before, because that’s a line even daemon wont cross

At this point I’m convinced that the showrunners forgot about Aegon and Viserys being Daemon’s sons, because why else would he not have a single scene with them? I know the show loves to portray Daemon as a deadbeat dad (which, for the record, I find incredibly aggravating) but he doesn’t even mention them. Where’s Daemon saying goodbye to them before he leaves for Harrenhal? Where’s Daemon getting the new that Rhaenyra sent them to the Vale? Does he think it’s the right decision? Does he think they’d be safer at Dragonstone? Does he even fucking know where his two youngest children are? And why don’t he and Rhaenyra talk about it when she comes to Harrenhal? Is he relieved that they’re away from the fighting? Angry that she didn’t consult him before sending their boys away? Did she consult him? Did she even tell him? Guess we’ll never fucking know.

Saddest thing ever is reading an academic paper about a threatened or declining species where you can tell the author is really trying to come up with ways the animal could hypothetically be useful to humans in a desperate attempt to get someone to care. Nobody gives a shit about the animals that “don’t affect” us and it seriously breaks my heart
