“ I’m good. Just getting ready for this little one, ” she said as she rubbed her belly. “How about you?”

tatiana nodded while rubbing her stomach, “how are you so calm?”

"Don’t worry. I’m still freaking out about half the time, but I’ve also been pregnant for several more months than you have.”

she shrugged, not really wanting to tell her about how charlie died or how she is now sinking back to her old self. “same old same old.”

Teagan had been so isolated in her own world going to doctors appointments or resting for the sake of the baby, she didn’t even know what was going on around. “how’s layton?”

“all of it..”

“I understand. It’s totally normal to feel that way. I’m here if you ever need to talk or ask questions.”

tatiana turned and bit her bottom lip, “i’m nervous..”

"about what? giving birth? being pregnant? all of it?”

“my baby niece.” ainsley smiled and leaned back a bit. “how are you feeling?”

“pretty good. blissful even. we’ve moved past the sick part of the pregnancy. now i’m just shifting between super happy and super worried. but enough about me, how are you?”

belle grinned warmly. “wow. are you excited, nervous or both?”

“So excited! And sooooo nervous!”

the fact tatiana was beginning to show made her a bit worried. she was afraid others would find out she was pregnant and somehow harm her. though she had to keep her head up and just think about keeping the baby healthy. glancing at the mirror, she tilted her head a bit and rubbed her belly. looking down at it she spoke to her baby, “mama will protect you, i swear.” unaware someone was behind her.

“my baby twin is growing up.”

“your baby twin is having a baby.”

“I’m about to start my last trimester. I can’t believe it.”

ainsley could feel the tears welling up in her eyes before clinging onto her twin, “shay.. he found me bleeding and.. and we got into this really big fight and that’s.. that’s how our friendship fell apart. i-i stopped though.. i really did.. ever.. ever since i found out you were pregnant i stopped. ”

She looked at her sister confused, “That’s why you guys stopped being friends? ...Was he mean to you about it?”

“what happened when i was depressed.” biting her bottom lip she sighed heavily, “not only was i slutting around and drinking but i.. i-i was harming myself. i-i don’t anymore, but i didn’t want to tell you..”

Teagan bit her lip and leaned forward and grabbed her sister’s hand and turned it to look at her wrist and frowned before reaching forward and hugging her, “I’m glad that you stopped. And that you told me the truth. I love you. Please don’t ever do that to yourself again.”

belle stood and wiped her face, nodding quickly. “let me just get some essentials.” she nearly ran to her bedroom, grabbing a bag of hers and filling it with a few bottles of makeup remover, her phone charger, her favorite blanket + pillow, as well as her cherished things she brought from home belonging to her mother and father. “thank you,” she mumbled, grabbing teagan’s hand again.

Teagan gave her a small smile and squeezed her hand, “You’re welcome.”
