thanks for indulging in my camera ask! I figured part of it was Helena is down there, the reforms, but also I can't remember the discussion I saw or evidence where their "doubles" were tasked with following them at times.

I'm trying to write a fic but I don't to take the reader out of it, but milchick mentioned the lack of cameras, but also it's milchick and lumon... so It might be less the cameras themselves in my fic and more worried someone will check on them. Lots to play with. Even writing this, i am excited to get back in the doc later

there were meant to be more scenes with the doubles but those were ultimately cut so all we know about them is from their appearances in woe’s hollow and chikhai bardo.

i don’t think it would take the reader out of the fic at all to take milchick’s promise of no cameras at face value. if you wanted you could copy the show and still have the characters go to somewhat more remote areas to whisper their whisper their secret plans ‘just in case’ but yeah that’s up to you. like mark tells helly about the ortbo while they’re both squeezed in a bathroom stall. is it because he believes there’s cameras? idk. i think it’s more that he wanted further privacy and just feel contained in a closed space with her. but maybe cameras were also in the back of his mind.

you can toss in a line or two if you feel so inclined, but please don’t feel restricted by this! if anything just use it as an excuse to make them be physically close to each other and whisper! which could also work if they’re worried about someone walking in to check on them. good luck!!
