A poem that tends to pop into your head?
'Morning Poem', by Mary Oliver (who else?)
2. One line from a song
'Standing naked in front of that hotel bathroom mirror, in her dysphoria's reflection she still saw her mother's son' - 'Paralytic States', Against Me!
3. One line from a movie
'Nostalgia! That's why you're here. You're a tourist in your own youth.' - Sickboy, Trainspotting 2
4. A word you avoid for fear of its overuse?
Struggling to think of one particularly but I avoid direct reference to sex and genitals cause it feels weird to write. Bad habit, though. I also avoid people's names but that's a stylistic choice.
5. One word that describes me (metaphorically) No explanation.-
Melancholic
Thanks for the tag! :) Tagging @misunderstandeverything
1. A poem that tends to pop into your head
It’s Not Like Nikola Tesla Knew All of Those People Were Going To Die by Hanif Abdurriqib
2. One line from a song
‘And the fall's getting cold, you try to catch salt air in an envelope
So you can send it home, sit by the bay alone, sun on your skin’
from Oldest Daughter by The Wonder Years
3. One line from a movie
“No hay banda, and yet we hear a band”
from Mullholand Drive (a quote I actually named a poem after a while back)
4. A word you about for fear of its overuse
I’m generally quite straightforward with my use of language but Love and Death are both very big concepts to fit into words in such common use so I tend to write around them when it makes sense
5. One word that describes me (metaphorically) No explanation
Abstracted
