Coypu ♥︎

They are highly social, intelligent, gregarious animals that live in organised family groups, often demonstrating complex vocalisations to communicate with one another.

Originating from South America, the coypu was introduced to Europe in the 19th century for fur farming. It inhabits wetlands, digging burrows into the banks of watercourses, canals, and ponds. In France, it is classified as an invasive species, even though it was originally introduced to serve human desires. Meanwhile, humans continue to destroy all natural infrastructure without ever considering themselves to be an invasive species.

Caloptéryx, Damselfly Because they often live close to the water and are highly agile, they symbolise great adaptability and the ability to navigate through emotional currents. Their calm, rhythmic flight is frequently linked to finding inner peace and maintaining a sense of stillness during turbulent times. Like dragonflies, they represent the process of maturing, shedding old habits, and emerging as a more refined version of oneself.

Purple Loosestrife and Common Brimstone

In many parts of Europe, the Brimstone is one of the first butterflies to emerge after winter, sometimes even seen flying on warm days in late winter or early spring. They are often heralded as a true sign that spring has arrived.

They are widely viewed as symbols of rebirth, hope, and the return of life.

They are among the longest-lived butterflies in Europe. Adults can live for up to 9–10 months, as they hibernate during the winter in dense ivy or brambles.

Common yarrow (Achillea millefolium)

In the past, the plant was believed to have magical properties that could ward off evil spirits.

It helps improve the health of surrounding plants and attracts insects.

Common Mallow (Malva sylvestris) Historically, the common mallow has been viewed as a guardian plant. In ancient times, it was believed that placing the flowers around a home could ward off negative energies, protect inhabitants from evil spirits, and bring harmony to the household. Due to its medicinal properties (soothing and emollient), the plant symbolizes healing, nurturing care, and gentleness.
