Sometimes I fear he’s even dishonest with me, and Alyosha has been so hard to talk to lately, he never wants to listen to me, and neither does Lise, and by the way, do you have any advise on getting her to listen to me? I must confess I am not the most skilled in childcare, so I don't know what to suggest for mademoiselle Lise. I admire you very much for raising such a bold child singlehandedly. Perhaps if it were me I would try taking her to Paris, to see more of the world. It would open her mind, besides make her grateful to you.

As for the monastery drama, I am glad you were entertained by what most recently transpired, but I must say I am extremely reluctant to go back.

I will consider a trip to Paris posthaste! *looks in money drawer. Any tips for dealing with that one distant relative who will not shut up and every word that leaves his fat sensual lips is pure idiocy and you just want to beat him over the head with a shovel sometimes but he's your relative even if spending over 5 minutes in his company makes you want to run and purchase the first ticket to the most distant french colonies
