I still can't believe it, but I'm finally ready to publish this book. The Notebook of a Fictional Man is here.

For the last two years, I've been pouring my heart and soul into this high-concept scifi romance- just slathered with art to make it feel more real. It contains drawings by its protagonist, splatters and stains from their adventures, love notes from when his partner steals the journal away, and even scribbles or blank pages to emphasize the most overwhelming and emotional moments of the book.

If you can, I really recommend the paperback over its digital counterpart. Holding it in your hands is one of the best parts of the story, just because of its nature as a handwritten work of the character, a book that he has carried with him throughout his adventures in the multiverse. Even having made it myself, it feels so magical just to flip through and touch those shiny ink splotches.

If all goes to plan, the paperback will be available on Amazon, and the digital copy will be pay-what-you-want on a separate platform (yet to be determined). I'm even proudly expecting both to be available in time for Christmas :')

Room for the date, general notes, "homework" (eg. coming up with positive affirmations or making a difficult phone call), and things to bring up or continue in the next session, since time always seems to run out too quickly.

Brief synopsis…

A fictional photocopy of a time traveler’s notebook. The Notebook of a Fictional Man (originally meant to impress historians), accidentally centers itself around the gentle giant with whom the writer is madly in love– and around his own crippling self-doubt. He drinks his troubles away on otherworldly planet, consuming the essence of the color blue as a psychedelic wine, and loses track of both reality and himself. His chronic drinking of the color blue and the masking of his earnest personality with “purple prose” (language far too lofty and pretentious for its contexts) threatens to push away even the strongest and most loving man; to push away even his gentle giant with the greenest of green eyes.

Help a disabled ex-cult member!

I have FINALLY escaped the home that raised me in an abusive doomsday cult. This is as big of a risk as it is an opportunity, seeing as I'm disabled and cannot work a regular job, so I'll be doing freelance editing to try to scrape together rent money.

I am a published author, and I have been told time and time again that, shockingly enough, the editing teams found no grammatical errors to correct in the published piece.
