YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! My angel, Ito Chiaki, will release her 1st photobook after her graduation as a AAA member this upcoming fall: October 6th 2017 and her photobook is titled as 「CHEERS」. Hence, to cheer on her 1st project as solo artist, I decided to hold a giveaway! I will be sending a copy of her photobook (the regular cover) to two winners!

Hello!

We’re all surprised about the announcement that Chiaki is graduating from AAA in March. I think it’s important that we international fans do something special for her. She deserves to see how many lives she’s touched all over the world! Everyone who wants to can submit a message to my blog to include in the gift. I’ll put it all together and ship it to the AAA fanclub.

misakolove and I have been talking about what to do and how to do it. (She’s so helpful! Treasure her.) She told me about exploding gift boxes, which are so creative and cute! It would be such a great gift!

First, the shape of the box will be a heptagon. It’ll emphasize all the home countries of the people who are part of the gift because the theme is hearts touched by Chiaki around the world. There will be a globe in the center, with red thread running from the different countries back to Japan. There’ll be lots of red and hearts and flowers and room for people to include messages. (And if anyone has some more good ideas, let me know! Everyone can have a say because we’re doing this together!)

I made a miniature prototype of it and there’s enough room for thirty-five messages, but I don’t know if I’ll need more or less room because I don’t know how many people will participate! Please let me know soon if you want to be a part of it so I can plan accordingly and get supplies! We only have until March for it to get to her, so we need to work quickly!

I can’t tell you exactly how much room everyone will get because this is still in the planning stages and I don’t know how many people will get involved (and I won’t get supplies for a few days…) But I want to say it’ll be about a sixth or a quarter (there will be two sizes) of a regular 8.5”x11” piece of paper. But you can start brainstorming, at least! You can put whatever you want in your message, but make sure to…

• Include your name/nickname • Include your home country • Be unique! You can make an image or just submit text and let me know what font/pictures/decorations you want (or I can just decorate for you) • Try to stay positive because we want Chiaki to be happy when she sees it! Congratulate her, thank her for everything she’s done in AAA, etc.

Hopefully I’ve described it well and everyone will participate. Share this post so more people see it too! I’m worried about space, but I’ll definitely work it out so everyone who wants to has a spot.

It’s pretty fast, but please have your message done and sent to me by February 1. We need to send it out quickly so we can be sure she’ll get it!

You can do it however you want - personalize it! If you have just text, message it to me and let me know any way you want to decorate it. If you have an image, save it to your computer/phone/etc. and message it to me.

ABOUT SIZE. Try to keep it about the size of one-sixth of a piece of paper. (I know I said there will be two sizes, but that’s hard to plan. So if yours is a little bit bigger than this, it’s okay, but starting now try to keep it to that size.) Also, do it horizontally (the long sides are the top and bottom) So your long side should be no more than 4.25" or 10.8cm long, and your short side should be no more than 3.66" or 9.3cm long. I hope this makes sense! If you’re doing just text, there’s not really a word limit, but keep in mind you have the same size limitation, so don’t make it super long! Some people have already sent in messages and they’re about a paragraph (maybe 80-100 words), which is good!

I started to know about AAA just last year or two years ago. My boyfriend actually let me listen to some of their songs, including “Wake Up” and “Sayonara no Mae ni.” He knows I like Japanese songs but when I first listened to the songs, I was just “okay...” I thought there was nothing special about it. But when I finally got to watch their music videos and live performances, I was so amazed (maybe their physical features also caught my attention, they’re all attractive, ne?). I also love dancing so I couldn’t help myself from learning their dance moves, especially in “Wake Up.”

Shuta actually caught my attention because of his fashion sense. I even labeled him the “fashionista” of the group. When I watched their Eighth Wonder Live Performance (in Youtube only :p), I noticed that Shuta had a solo dance performance. It gave me the impression that he is the best dancer in the group (and indeed, he really is!), so I started to always focus on his moves when they perform as a group. My eyes are literally following him on my laptop screen as I watch them. XD

When I listened to “Believe,” oh my; my heart really melted. I was like “this guy can’t just sing; he sings soooooo well.” That’s when I started to give him a special place in my heart <3. Since then, I started reading stuffs about him and watch their MVs, concerts and live performances since their debut so that I could have a view of his journey in AAA despite me being new to the fandom. And at present, I’m so happy to know how his career progressed; I just really hope more AAA fans will get to notice him because based on what I’ve read in others’ blogs, he has the least number of fans during concerts (based on pen lights) and he has the number of Twitter followers that is not as many as the other members’. Well I have no Twitter account but I’m his fan, so I’m still hoping that there are other fans supporting him in their own ways. :)

Anyway, I have here a list of Shuta’s awesomeness, which is why I can’t help myself but keep on supporting him in spite of my busy schedule. Since it’s his 30th birthday, I have here 30 points to share with you. I hope we share the same impressions but if you have other observations about him, please feel free to also share it with me by commenting/messaging me, so that I’ll also get to see him at a different angle. :)

Why Shuta is Awesome #1

He is consistently a great dancer. I’m observing how his body moves as compared to the other members, and his stance always looks really perfect. Dancing is obviously natural in him. <3

Why Shuta is Awesome #2

His voice is superb! Listening to his voice really soothes my heart. I really look forward to listening to his parts especially in “Koi Oto to Amazora,” “Ai Shiteru no ni, Ai Senai,” “Story,” “Next Stage,” and “Mikansei.” Of course he sounds really good in all their songs, but the songs I mentioned are some that I really like (when it comes to the sound of his voice). I also love his solo/paired songs: “Believe,” “Akirerukurai Wagamama na Jiyuu,” and “Zapper.” His contribution in “You Love Me” also flutters my heart <3. His voice is just so cooool. <3

Why Shuta is Awesome #3

He does not only dance, but he can breakdance and do stunts, too. In their live performances, he was usually given a chance to showcase this talent and he kept on showing various kind of tricks. That’s why I really never get bored seeing him tumbling of hand/head standing because each time is different <3.

Why Shuta is Awesome #4

He is a cool beatboxer, too. He can do impromptu performances, and I was really happy when he had a planned part during their Gold Symphony Tour. It means that the management recognizes this talent of his. :) My heart also goes dokidoki when he prepared some during their MCs in Leap Over and Fantastic Over performances <3.

Why Shuta is Awesome #5

He has a very wonderful personality. He is supportive to Hidaka’s solo performances and MisaChia also commended him being a gentleman. According to Misako, he was thoughtful when he lent her his knee pads during their training before their debut, given that they were rivals that time (thank you, Doushiyou-ka for this information :D). On the other hand, Chiaki felt Shuta treats him like a family member. He even sent her a mail the fastest when Chiaki got injured in 2011. Also, just recently, MisaChia said in their interview for steady Jan. 2017 that if Shuta was their boyfriend, he is the type who is warm and kind to his girlfriend (thanks again, Doushiyou-ka for this translation). Another instance when I observed him being courteous was during his and Chiaki’s appearance in Sweet Paradise. He waited for the host to let him sit even though Chiaki has already taken her seat XD. <3

Why Shuta is Awesome #6

He is sooooo attractive. His eyes are very beautiful and all kind of hairstyles and hair colors suit him. He can look fierce, soft, cool, mature, etc. depending on his hair style. For instance, he looks so cute and young in Triple Seven Tour, while his aura became a bit mature and cool in their Gold Symphony and 10th Anniversary Tours. He also looks hot with his not too long-and-short hair (I don’t know what style it is :p) during their 5th Anniversary Live and Premium Award in 2010. <3

He also has talent for acting. He has performed for stage plays during 2009 (Love Musical) and 2013 (Shida no Mure). As a group, AAA also performed plays in 2007 (Theater of AAA-Bokura no Te and Super Battle Live Delicious Gakuin Bangaihen). They also played lead roles in 2009 (Mirai Seiki Shakespeare). Shuta also starred in 2006 (Karera no Umi VIII) with Chiaki and Shinjiro. He also did well in AAA’s short film Kagi no Aru Basho in 2007. <3

He has good relationship with the other members. He is close to Nissy and Hidaka, and he also treats Chiaki like a family (well all members, actually. But Chiaki’s the one to always mention it <3). Shuta is also kind to Leader, Shinjiro and Misako, even though I only have few instances in mind when I saw him interacting with these three. That’s why I’m very happy when he had many interactions with Shinjiro during their Fantastic Over performance. <3

He doesn’t forget to have fun whenever he performs. <3

He expresses the right emotions whenever he sings. And we can really tell it based on his facial expressions during their live performances. <3

He is still a private person (I have no idea about specific details about his family and friends; he only posts on his Twitter and blog stuffs about other people who he had worked with for an event, and not about just hanging out with his friends). It gives me a mysterious impression on him. It makes me want to continue learning more about him. <3

He is not afraid to show in public his soft side. He cried with the other members during their MC, 3rd Anniversary Live (well, Shinjiro and Leader were the only ones who did not cry XD). <3

His dimples really make him so cute! And his smile melts my heart. <3

He also has talent to do dance choreography. He actually choreographed “Rising Sun” and “Love @ 1st Sight” (Oh no I’m sorry, I forgot where I got this information :(( ). He also choreographed Dream5′s Bokura no Natsu (Thank you for this information, Shuuty!). <3

He has a good body. <3 Well, he was used to show his skin before, which allowed me to see his abs and muscles. <3 However since 2015, I think, he always got to wear clothes that really cover his arms. I think the last time I saw him wear a sando/sleeveless top was in late 2013 or early 2014 in Kizuna Gasshuku 3. I really miss seeing his solid masculine side. <3 But he’s still masculine even without showing his muscles and all. :p <3

He is a very fashionable guy. For me, he is able to rock with confidence the clothes the management assigns for him during their performances and MVs. And he also wears clothes of his choice that really suit him. <3

He can imitate other people’s voice XD. It was so funny when he imitated Shinjiro’s during Kizuna Gasshuku 2. <3

He is a funny guy. XD He can actually make others laugh without him laughing at himself or his own joke. Hahaha. <3

He is strong and physically fit. I have watched in AAA channel (if I remember it correctly) thru Youtube that he was observed as the best [baseball] batter by some great baseball player/coach/trainer, as compared to Nissy and Hidaka. During Kizuna Gasshuku 1, the staff also made him use his left hand during one of their challenges (throwing a ball to a pile of cans). I guess the staff wanted to challenge him [and AAA] knowing that Shuta can actually accomplish the task using his dominant hand. :p (It’s unfair, I know! Hahaha!) <3

He is a very dynamic guy. He usually does something cool and unusual during their performances. One example is his beatboxing during MCs. <3

Why Shuta is Awesome #21

He connects with the other members during their live performances, and not just sing his part. Some of these instances include connecting with Nissy (Day by Day, Next Stage, Wake Up), and with Hidaka (Samurai Heart, Bet, Music!!!). Of course, the most important thing is that he also connects with the fans. <3

He is also playful. He likes to tease Chiaki and he also does something interesting alone or with Nissy/Hidaka during rest time, rehearsals, or documentaries/MV makings. <3

He keeps his feet on the ground despite his growing career in AAA. He always gives back his success to the fans and staff who support them. I also liked how he acknowledged his parents when he expressed his gratitude during their 3rd Anniversary Live MC. <3

He shares stories using accurate actions and emotions. Hahaha. It’s like he’s reenacting the scenario. <3

He is brave and not so brave. Hahaha. During their haunted house challenge in Kizuna Gasshuku 2, no trace of fear could be observed from him. He’s really fearless. <3 But I’m not really sure why he refused to ride the G-Max when AAA returned to Singapore in 2015 for their Asia Tour (he also didn’t ride it during their challenge in Kizuna Gasshuku 3 a year before). That’s why I guess he’s afraid of those kind of rides? He also kept on closing his eyes tightly when AAA rode one ride (I don’t know the name) in Kizuna Gasshuku 2. But well, I’m still not sure. Hahaha. <3

He has karate skills! No wonder why his body is strong and fit. <3

He knows how to cook (which really surprised me)! During their Kizuna Gasshuku 1 and 2 cooking challenge, Shuta seemed to be the most skillfull among the male members when it comes to cooking. The others just pan fried/grilled something, while he cooked a dish that really needed to do some seasonings (Yakisoba). <3

Why Shuta is Awesome #29

He is a very positive person. I’m really inspired by how he shares in his blog and answers in interviews how open minded he is in life’s challenges. He sees them as crucial factors why a person succeeds in life. And also in a recent interview (andGirl Nov. 2016), he said that he continues to see wonderful things and enjoy life despite a heartbreak. (thanks for the translation, Doushiyou-ka! :D) <3
