Personal Refresher!

First reflection post of 2016. The discussion of the last topic is a little messy :)

Thankful for all the inspiring people in my Household! (And for finally having the ability to smile with my teeth. It’s an insecurity that I’m dealing with ahah)

Can we trust God and be okay with whatever the outcome, knowing that we have already received all we need in His Son? That’s a hard question, but until you’re in a place where you’re okay with never getting married, you won’t be in a place where I will be able to pursue you.

Significance of today.. Having a successful discernment for something that’s been troubling me for quite a while! Thank You for acknowledging my desire in seeking out your truth and your way. You have this way of making life SUPER interesting with twists and turns we don’t always understand, but that’s just the surface. 

Thank You for blessing me with a role of service that allows me to grow with the people that I serve, and serve the people that I hope I can foster growth in. 

With each passing day Lord, I hope that all my insecurities, deepest doubts, fears, and worries are cast out by the confidence I have in You and your place in my life. May my relationship with You speak louder than I ever could have on my own. May I keep You in the forefront. 

Finally I pray Lord for You to seek the hearts of each and every past, present, and future member of Surrey 2. Let them know that they are loved.

The Lord’s strength within us is inherent. Yet the frequency at which we question Him and His working(s) in our lives is entirely more than He deserves.

Help me to love like You. Guide me in my journey to serve like You.

To be responsible does not mean to follow the rules; it may often require us to disregard the rules or to act in a way the rules do not warrant. Just realizing how lonely this semester/summer has been. Not too sure if my being used to it is a sign of self-resilience or me being out of touch with the reality of others.
