The idea for my 1 min film changed a lot over time. At first I wanted to do a video of Wave Rock Festival but the lighting wasn't great. I then had an idea to do a video with David Attenboroughs voice narrating Tony Abbotts movements but this became a bit hard to link. My next idea was relating Tony to lizards if you scroll down my Tumblr you can see the screenshots for this. In the end I decided to get rid of the lizards and focus on just Tony because his mannerisms really speak for themselves. I also put some scary music and vocals underneath to make it seem more menacing. I am pretty happy with the final work. Thankyou to Karen and Andy for such a fun class :)

In my 1 min film I had a lot of thought processes on what would work and be creative. At first I thought I was going to do a film with images of Tony Abbott and David Attenborough's voice narrating a story. The problem I had was finding parts of Attenborough's speech which would work. I then started to look at different videos of Tony Abbott on YouTube and what I found was he looked pretty weird in most of them. There were many people referring to Tony as a lizard which plays into the Reptilian theory which David Icke supports. The Reptilian theory centres on the conspiracy that a lot of the worlds top bloodlines are not human but reptilian and are controlling the population. I don't necessarily think this is the truth but upon watching the videos of Tony I did see a certain lizard like countenance to his actions. In this short film I have played along to this stereotype making a SuperCut of videos of tony with snippets of lizards seemingly doing the same action. I have put in sinister music with a snippet of my voice lowered to sound scary saying 'lizard'. This video may seem very weird but it is an attempt at humour and also a focus on how Tony Abbott acts in public which makes you wonder how he acts in private. I made all of the videos black and white to create more cohesion I am also considering putting glitch affects on my film. The TV idea I have used is an attempt to play on most of the videos are TV orientated i.e. the media so I wanted to have a zoom in of the TV with it changing channels and then switching off. I have had several attempts at different video ideas but like this one as I do not like Tony Abbott and his policies especially after spending hours watching footage of him over the last few weeks. Looking forward to the screening in week 14!
