Five years later, I’m still grieving the loss of my husband. But now added in the mix I’m mourning my therapy dog who passed suddenly on Easter, my father who passed suddenly in July, and my grandmother who passed three weeks later. This is especially difficult because my dad was Captain Christmas. So I’m hurting so much while trying to shake myself into the Christmas spirit, which I know he would have wanted. It’s a pinball of emotion, folks. But I take it one hour at a time.
