Meet Senior TV/Film Student, Becca Meyer!
Meet Senior TV/Film Student, Becca Meyer!
ABOUT HER FILM:
"Ethan Howell: Private Investigator: is a short film written and directed by Anthony Canavaciol and produced by Becca Meyer.
This film is not the typical film noir. Ethan Howell thinks he is a top-notch P.I., and when a beautiful woman comes to him with a case involving her missing husband, he has a decision to make. The only problem is Ethan Howell is a terrible Private Investigator.
HOW HAVE YOU GROWN FROM THIS PROGRAM?
How have I grown? I have learned so much through my four years at Hofstra, not just as a film maker, but as a person. I think it's impossible not to learn when you are surrounded by such amazing people. The people I have met through this program have taught me valuable lessons that I could never get in a classroom, and for that I am grateful. Through my four years here, I feel like I have found new things that I love to do within the Film and TV world.
BIOGRAPHY:
My name is Becca Meyer, a senior majoring in Film and Television and minoring in Fine Arts and I am from Nashua, NH. You know how a lot of people come into college saying they don't know what they want to do with their lives? I started making videos in the fourth grade and never wanted to stop. Between shooting horrible music videos of my friends singing and dancing to the Cheetah Girls, to making videos for science class, production is what I've always been drawn to. Currently, I am a producer for the HEAT Network, live-to-tape show, Director's Cut, a Series Coordinating Producer for the advanced level television course show, For Your Island, a teacher's assistant in the beginner to intermediate level production courses, and an intern at the well known television graphics company, ChyronHego. In the past, I've worked on many student films AND had the amazing opportunity to work on Season 3 of the X Factor.
