Omg I rlly love School Bus Graveyard, and for some reason, I just- I really like Aiden and Ben-
Could you maybe…do head canons for either of them telling the reader they like them. Gender neutral or female-
– Oh god! You brought me a treat! I simply love them! Either way, I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing this!

Pairing: Ben Clark × Reader/Aiden Clark × Reader
So, we all know Ben, a giant boy that many believe to be mute, which isn't the case, but you wouldn't know it either way.
This goes to show that, not only that Ben wouldn't tell you about himself, but that he wouldn't try to communicate with you at all!
Ben chose to look at you from afar since the day the group projects were assigned.
If you got assigned to the same group as him and the others, chances are he probably wouldn't talk to you either, but he does communicate to everyone as a group, so you would get to know the basics.
He will always scribble away in his notebook when you are around. He would do anything in his power to not let you see what he is doing.
The only person that knows about this is Aiden, and much to your surprise, he won't tell you. Aiden is such a good cousin to Ben that the maximum he can do is just tease you about your curiosity and tell you to mind your own business before he starts bothering you with his intrusive behavior.
But eventually, Aiden will grow tired of this and push Ben to go up to you and start a friendship.
With a few pushes from Aiden, Ben gets to know you, and depending on the situation, you might know more or less about each other.
If you are in the group, you and Ben have become close friends, sticking beside him when Aiden goes apeshit on the phantoms like a psychopath.
This means you finally get to know what he does in his notebook, mostly drawings of the group and your shared misfortunes, but the book has more drawings of you than any of the others in the group.
You will also be the first to know about Ben's voice, but Ben will be the one telling you first and in private. He will probably write a note for you to read because he won't get the courage to show his voice to you.
If you are not part of the group, you kind of just know basic trivia about Ben and some stuff Aiden tells you when you are on the bus on your way to school.
But don't worry, Aiden has got you covered because he will drag Ben to interact with you, he even shows one of Ben's sketches of you to get the interaction flowing.
In this situation, you know little about Ben, but a good amount to become friends, not the closest, but it is a start.
Of course, the day will eventually come when Ben has to make a move, after all, he realizes that if he can face phantoms, he can ask you out.
Once again, depending on the scenario, this will determine how much time he will take to ask you out, how he does it, and where he is taking you.
If you're in the group, Ben will ask you to sit at the end of the bus with him so you can get more privacy.
And as you sit and hear the commotion ahead, you actually listen to a voice very close to you.
"So... This is the first time you listen to me speak. I just wanted to make it clear that... I really enjoy your company... How you stick with me when things go south... I just like you... So, I also wanted to ask... If you were willing to go to our house? Aiden will be out if that's what you are concerned with. You know, I just wanted to have time to relax with you and get to know you more than we already know each other..."
This would shock you, but get you excited nonetheless. Ben just asked you out for a cozy date in his house.
You will mostly just hang out in his bedroom, talk, watch some movies, cuddle, see all his drawings and old pictures, and sleep... GOD, YOU GUYS NEED TO SLEEP.
Well, as sweet and sentimental as the scenario is, if you are not in the group, this will lead to a whole different scenario.
Despite Ben's realization, he would still take longer than if you were in the group, he would until his opportunity had the risk of being compromised.
One day, after months of not asking you out, Ben would hear another person's plans of asking you out.
That it's the trigger for Ben to slip a note to Aiden in the middle of the bus, and Aiden passes it to you. That's when you know why the drawings and the little smiles were so frequent, and you can help but blush.
"So... You will go out with him, right?" Aiden is threatening you to make up your mind as soon as you read the note since he knows how anxious Ben is despite the quiet and emotionless expression.
As soon as you say yes, Ben smiles at you. You guys go to movies, go to a diner and then get ice cream. It's mostly fun and adorable, even if Ben seems restless, he tries to engage with you in every way possible.
Once he leaves you by your doorstep, he gives you a little hand squeeze and begins to rush back home as if his life depends on it.
You, of course, are dumbfounded by this, but hey... You had a wonderful time, and even if he is a bit out of the ordinary, you are down for a second date.
The whole group is praying for you! Lord, have mercy!
The moment he saw you enter the school bus was a relief for Ashlynn, but a misery for you if you were hoping to be left alone.
Aiden wanted to know everything about you, his goal was to fill up a whole encyclopedia about you.
His eyes shined with intensity as he talked to you, filling you up with questions.
As luck would have it, he only got to know basic trivia, because Ben took pity on you and dragged Aiden's ass back to his seat.
Depending on how the groups were organized, you could end up having a pretty normal day except for the earlier invasion of privacy on the bus.
But if you are part of the group, Aiden is all up on you and all up on bothering Ashlynn.
He wants to finish that encyclopedia, darling.
He will drag you along with the others to lunch with him and Ben, and invite himself with you and Ben to Ashlynn's house later that day.
Eventually, you guys create a close friendship over the bonding of near-death experience, and how he protects you and appreciates that you don't judge him for his destructive and chaotic demeanor.
If you aren't in the group, he is still bothering you, but it is way less than the first day, and you actually won't mind answering some of his questions.
You become acquainted with one another, and then friends. You stare at him suspectingly sometimes when he disappears, but regardless, you begin to enjoy his company.
Even if you are in the group or not, he tried to ask you out since day 1! Not confess, just ask out.
His confession to you if you are in the group comes during an attack on the phantom realm, he is hiding with you, while the others are coming to go save you. He got hurt while protecting you, so he couldn't just fight the phantoms outside the door, much to his dislike.
"I would have shown them! You should let me rip out their heads! Just for you to see I can protect you! To see I would do anything for you!" Even bleeding, he still rambled on and on about how much he would destroy does monsters for daring to hurt you.
"Aiden, now it's not the time-" "It's never the time to tell you that I like you, is it? That I love how you don't condone me? That I would love if you said yes when I ask you out?" He really wasn't one to give up, and you knew he wasn't going to stop for you to bandage him if you didn't respond to him.
"I will go out with you, if you stay freaking put, okay?!" And just like that, Aiden got himself a date.
Now, the other scenario where you are not in the same group includes a lot more trial and error.
Basically, questions everywhere.
You are constantly being asked out in the middle of a decent conversation with him, notes are constantly being sent to you in the middle of class, and your backpack is filled with expensive gifts and post-its with the question, – Will you go out with me? It's the 134th time I am asking you this. :3 – and the number always increases based on the number of times he asks you.
You eventually grow tired of this and go to him directly, wanting an answer as to why he wants you to go out with him so much.
"OH! I didn't tell you? You make my mind go silent. I feel at ease when I see you or interact with you. And even when I seem to bother, you are always so gentle. I feel different when I am around you. I like it better than when I just go berserk."
After he answered you, you simply responded with yes, which left him confused as to what you were saying yes to because he didn't ask you a thing.
But as soon as you left, Ben reminded him of the question he has been throwing at you since day one. He is ecstatic!
