Tendershine, Shadowclan medicine cat apprentice
One of my POV characters.
Becoming a medicine cat wasn't an easy thing for her. Cloverclaw, the medicine cat of Shadowclan, didn't want to take her as an apprentice, since it was a great responsibility for her, and she just didn't seem to understand. And, truly, Tenderkit - a silly, naive child, wasn't ready at this point (There are also some other reasons, but they are relevant only to Cloverclaw and his self-confidence issues)
Warrior life seemed too hursh for a small shy Tenderpaw, who couldn't even hunt well because of her short legs. At this point, when she was desperately seeking for help and attention, came Fairface. She was only slightly attracted to him, but then her feelings developed into strong platonic affection.
Then Cloverclaw and Tenderpaw have the same dream over and over again. Cloverclaw sees it as a sign and finally takes her as an apprentice.
(She is gonna grow a lot throughout the story, turning from a weak whiny kit into strong and determinate she-cat, doing whatever it takes for the sake of her clan. At one point she even had to replace the leader of the clan, due to number of reasons.)
