Something has changed dramatically with how people engage with video games. I know this isn’t a surprising or radical thing to say nowadays. But I say this out of personal experience. Something has shifted… in which direction I don’t know.

I’m watching people burn their mind, body and soul away into what has become of this beautiful hobby. not out of a creative passion, just into… nothing meaningful. Just manufactured nonsense. The tragedy of it to me is how I have witnessed it affect my friends. Recent and old. Some have given into it, some I see around less due to it. It is depressing all around.

Maybe this can be said about everything else honestly.

Part of me wants to go back to 2017. I have expressed my intense nostalgia for this era of gaming before. I don’t wish to return to it because I think it’s better per say… but I do feel that it was healthier somewhat. For everyone.
