whisper words of encouragement to plants
It’s okay if you fall down and lose your spark. Just make sure that when you get back up, you rise as the whole damn fire. // Colette Werden
“That spark you feel as you start to heal - that’s what life’s about.”
— Unknown
Inside her pulses something huge, something full of longing, something unafraid.
Anthony Doerr, All the Light We Cannot See (via wordsnquotes)
This.
You are not your wounds.
Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre (via wordsnquotes)
“I want to reach for God the way I reach for my phone. When I’m bored, when I’m uncomfortable, when I need answers or entertainment, when I’m lonely and need someone to talk to.”
— Cory Asbury (via breanna-lynn)
Into the wild,
I believe that there is nothing more sacred or profound than this day. There may be a thousand big moments embedded in this day, waiting to be discovered like tiny flecks of gold. The big moments are the tiny moments of courage and forgiveness and hope that we grab on to and extend to one another. The big moments are in every conversation, every meal, every meeting. That’s the drama of life, swirling all around us.
Shauna Niequist, Savor (via ktmeek)
You’ll know.
You’ll know it when you see it. That light on the hill far off into the unknown. The chills that ignite the spirit within.
You’ll know it when you hear it. It sounds like deep belly aching laughter and whispers blowing wildly in the wind.
You’ll feel it. Trust me, you’ll know.
The wild and wonder of it all. Begging, begging to be uncovered revealing moments only few will ever take hold of and embraced for all that they are.
It all begins and ends in your mind. What you give power to, has power over you, if you allow it.

When I think about the new year I see it as a gift placed neatly in a small box gently tied with a ribbon so freely placed in the palms of my wide open hands and outstretched arms. To me, this gift holds infinite potential and opportunity, and my eyes are glittering just looking at it. I feel like I’m on the edge of a giant cliff slowly, hesitantly peering over the edge. I’m afraid of heights, but this cliff isn’t just any cliff, and death is not at the end of the fall. This cliff is called breakthrough. The fall is something more, opportunity fully embraced. Opportunity held tightly in a hug you wouldn’t want to let go of. 2018 is breakthrough and revival freely wrapped in a box eagerly waiting in anticipation to be opened - to tear off the ribbon and dig deep inside. Eagerly waiting in anticipation to jump off the edge and free fall into potential. My eyes are glittering, my arms are stretched open, and my heart is ready. I’m present, eager, and I believe in myself. I’m on the edge and I’m jumping.
