âApolline you cannot be serious.â Gabrielle was glad to be spending time with her sister, truly, but this was absurd. It clearly wasnât safe for her anymore, and while the same could be pointed out and said to the younger girl, Apolline had a family - a husband and a daughter who needed her to stay in one piece. She held Fleur close as she nodded though. Perhaps in the time it took to get to where ever Fleur was leaving from (letting the three year old go on her own seemed a bit unsafe), Gabrielle would be able to convince her sister other wise. âIf they continue to target creatures, you will not be safe here. Holiday or not.â Her voice was low, she did not want to alarm her niece, but she could only hope that her sister would begin to see some form of reason.
âIâm very serious.â She had known Gabrielle wouldnât like it but that wouldnât stop her; Gabrielle might be known as the headstrong daughter, but Apolline was equally stubborn when she thought something was important, and this was. âYouâre not safe then either, Gabrielle,â she said lightly, sending a smile in her daughterâs direction, despite the serious topic of conversation. âIâm quite capable of defending myself, and I am of age. Iâm not leaving you.â
