hey there I'm Julian, I go by Doc and Jules as nicknames! or Flagnarb which is my usual handle. main is @latte-virgo-lion , i follow/like from there. I'm trying to get better at reblogs > likes, but i can forget. I usually save things as drafts and tag them when i have the patience to!

I have a phobia of the movie that has thankfully 98% died off, but I kinda get flighty and weird when I interact too much with stuff, so I "die" pretty often. This movie is the thing I have an unhealthy (for my heart rate) obsession over, and has really altered my life entirely. It's also a special interest of mine I think.

I normally don't interact with MOST series content, just out of not really liking it. I don't interact with MOST shipping as well, but especially don't interact with susan × monster stuff for personal reasons!

I try to tag most of everything, and very occasionally post my own art. trying to learn how to use tumblr again.

i think dreamworks is a great studio and upon watching all of their movies this year for their 30th anniversary, there are very few that I dislike. even shark tale has its moments, sykes is an icon. and i've gained a new appreciation for some of their movies like the httyd series, monsters vs aliens, over the hedge, the croods (especially the sequel). over the hedge was way ahead of its time, and monsters vs aliens is actually secretly a feminist masterpiece.

and their early days just hit different. i mean, we have a CGI movie about ants overthrowing a fascist, two 2D movies in a row, one adapting the book of exodus and the other being a parody of those old "road to" movies, a claymation movie that's basically the great escape, and of course, a certain cgi ogre. quite the lineup!

I know it's been really hard for you lately. but i want you to know that I see how hard you're trying, every single day, and i'm so so proud of you. it's not always going to feel this hard, but you can take all the time you need to figure it out as you go. you're learning how to be alive, and it's a very difficult but rewarding journey. look at the sun! the birds! the breeze! the warm tea in your hand! joy was never meant to be a crumb, even if sometimes feel like that's all it is. you're growing, even if you don't believe it. I'm very proud of you :)

I will always find it so weird how so many people don’t like Monsters Vs Aliens. I know the movie is an aquired taste, but the entire movie is pretty good story wise.

I think most people either forget or don’t know that the movie is supposed to be a parody movie. That and also probably because this movie has a strong female lead that doesn’t obviously point out for eye candy (not that that stuff isn’t bad in itself).

Most of the time I’ve heard people (mostly men) say that they hate Susan the most, when arguably she’s the best character in the entire movie.

Anywho go watch this 15 year old movie from my childhood if you have not, cause you are really missing out if you have.

They're vertical layout so I can do some vertical (12×24 ish) paintings later of them possibly. I really like doc's expression in the last one. they're crawling around in some pipes, but I don't know if it's low/zero gravity, or if doc is sticky. it's ambiguous.
