IT ISN'T OPTIMAL. but having pokémon living in the middle of rubble isn't, either.

So did he bow out and his body melt into the darkness, leaving her alone with the other Pokémon. With the terrifying Steelix gone, they inched closer. It's not until the Houndour turns around and barks at them, that they perk up, exchange a look and then approach the trainer more willingly. One's courage inspired the other- a chain, of which Tetsuka had also been a part of. Together they would trot after her, careful to stick very close and keep up with her gait.
She couldn't help but scoff. Maybe show the hint of a smirk with that.
"Don't I know that."
The Brass Tower rarely was seen as a tourist attraction anymore. Be it because they're afraid of ghosts and criminals lurking there or because they're afraid the whole thing would collapse on them. No need to drag this any longer, then: as soon as the wild Pokèmon moved closer she stood up, giving a quick stretch before slowly walking towards the nearest Pokèmon Center, making sure she was followed all the way through.
Ironically enough, convincing them- or, rather, the Houndour to stay behind was way more of a probem. The nurse had to rely on more drastic methods ( letting her Jigglypuff out to make them fall asleep ) to calm them down, and just after promising she might come and visit them Tetsuka was finally allowed to leave, wasting but one more second to let out a rather tired sigh before making her way back to the tower. Wether that mysterious figure was actually going to appear or not, she didn't know... but at this point, she might as well give it a shot, yes?

A quick sigh, more akin to a groan, escaped her lips. She wanted to push them into a battle? Then she should be way more direct and ask, rather than trying to rile them up.
Or rile the grunts up. One of them, especially, kept giving Tetsuka quick glances, their eyes going from the Poliwrath to their leader, as if they were quietly begging to get into action already.. Needless to say, they were promptly ignored.
"Whatever you heard, it was likely exaggerated. Or from someone who has problems with us."
Her head tilts on the side, eyes turned into slits.
"The Gym Leader has no quarrel with us staying here, and neither do the Pokèmon living in the tower nor its rightful owner. If you wish to visit the shrine we built for them, I'd gladly escort you there, as long as you behave.
Although" she still adds, her tone getting dangerously low "calling the Brass Tower an oversized coal pile is way more disrespectful than anything we did to make it our base."

The uniform isn't new. A Ranger uniform. She's seen a few lurking around, lately, but she didn't expect one of them to sneak inside the Tower. Her grunts, two on each side, already reached for their PokèBall to show her the way out, but none of them dare to release their Pokèmon just yet. Not as long as Tetsuka feels like talking.
