“ thanks so much. i owe you. and it’s definitely only because i really wanted to eat out somewhere today. the universe told me it wasn’t meant to be. ” kimi gave the girl a warm smile, sliding into the booth to sit across from her. she idly tucked one of her legs up underneath the other to rest on as she glanced through the menu, raising a brow as mo spoke once more. “ hmm … you know what? a burger sounds so good right now. i’m just sorry you’ll have to watch me inhale it. i have a huge appetite. ” she giggled at that, closing the menu and setting it to the edge of the table while she waited for their waitress to come around. 

“ mm - not yet. later on. i’m supposed to be asleep right now, honestly. but y’know … i really need to just invest in some melatonin one of these days. ” she gave a sheepish smile, looking up to the waitress who finally came around, placing her order alongside a cherry pepsi before glancing back to molan. “ need anything? ”

“ohh, you are trying out new places huh? i kind of love doing that. every place has a different menu or setting,” mo loved trying new things as well. especially when she actually had the time to do it. she was most likely the main one to make a yelp review as well. “it’s ok, this place usually gets busy around this time. it’s just a lunch rush it’ll be gone in line thirty minutes,” she chuckled while taking another sip of her coffee. careful to set it back down so she didn’t spill it. the blonde instantly waved her statement off. “trust me you’re going to see me inhale some waffles and bacon. i think we’re both going to question each other’s eating habits at the end of this,” smirking her shoulders shrugged as the waitress finally caught sight of them. “hmm, maybe i wouldn’t take them all the time though. they can actually mess with your body,” after the other order her food mo looked up asking the waitress for her usual. strawberry banana waffles with extra bacon, and a side of curly fries. weird right? waving the waitress off she looked back at kimi laughing. “hey, their curly fries are to die for.”

jaesun had wanted to continue being stubborn, to stand with an unbothered façade before mo after she’d rejected and ignored every call and text he’d sent her way over their few weeks apart and deny her the satisfaction of seeing how much it had actually hurt on his face, but the second that he heard her soft voice asking him to stop being like that, to put down his walls long enough to give her a chance, he caved━ as he always did when it came to her. so, with a sigh, he silently accepted her offer and took a seat in the space across from her━ his hands still stuck deep in his pockets as he leaned back against the booth for support. and as she raised her coffee cup to her lips, his gaze tracked the movement until finally he arched a brow toward her━ a silent request for her to say whatever was on her mind. “ you could’ve told me that you wanted time. you didn’t need to shut me out entirely like that. you could’ve just talked to me, I’m ━ ” his words died in his throat, uncertain how to continue. what was he now, after all? her best friend? nothing more than her ex? he wasn’t certain that he even had the right to demand such treatment from her anymore and the thought tore some of the fight out of him, deflating in his seat a little bit as his gaze settled onto her. “ anyway, it doesn’t matter anymore. you got the time you wanted to think now. so, did you think about what I said? what we talked about? ” he knew that he’d been harsh during their last fight, his desire to protect her leading to him asking her to give up on the secret she’d shared with him━ but he couldn’t back down on the subject, not if he wanted her safe. “ I know you didn’t want to but you still did. ” his words were bitter, harsher than he’d intended them, and he sighed after they passed his lips. “ sorry. I didn’t handle our last fight any better and I know that. I wish━ I wish the whole thing had gone differently. but this is the one thing I can’t give into you on and you understand that, right? ”

molan couldn’t keep her hues off of him. he’d been the absolute love of her life since she was a teenager. jaesun had grown with her. watched her go through some of the most awkward and weird parts of her life. watching the hurt rise on his features made her want to cry. how could she treat someone she loved so much like that? even the coffee she was drinking couldn’t bring her mood up. regret was filling her so much she wanted to scream. hearing him stumble over what he was to her hurt even more. it hit her like a bullet hitting her straight in the chest. puncturing her heart that it could just bleed out. “i know. you know i suck at feelings jae or communicating. you’re my everything please, just please don’t be mad,” her lip trembled as she tried to keep her composure in this diner. her hard exterior could come crashing down any second. the man sitting in front of her was good at bringing out a side no one else could see. a side only a few she’s actually trusted to see. leaning against the table she reached to rest one of her palms against his cheek. as soon as he asked about did she think about what he had said. her hand dropped as mo tried to get her thoughts back into order. her dream, her absolute dream as on the line. was it more important then the person she had always imagined a future with. they had planned it all out. yet, her dream was something that was hers. something she had always wanted. nodding her head slowly as molan finally realized her decision. maybe she shouldn’t have told him about her secret. if she wanted a future with him though he would have found out eventually right? “i didn’t want to say something i’d end up regretting jae,” she’d done it to many times in the past. the blonde glanced around to make sure not many people were actually paying attention to them. “jae, my love, please, just please understand this is something i want to do. i know it’s not ideal for you to see me do it. taking it away will just make me want to do it more. you used to watch me kick box how is this any different?,”

august was tired from being uncomfortable with her growing belly. she really just wanted to eat and go back to bed which was exactly what she was going to do… right after she ate. somehow she had ended up a different diner than what she was use to but she didn’t mind. the girl looked around to find a seat, seeing that many were filled up already. fixing to just leave, the girl turned her head when she noticed someone waving at her over. slowly she moved towards mo and said, “you sure you don’t mind me joining? i don’t want to intrude if you have someone joining you already?”

watching the very pregnant petite woman walk towards her she grinned. would she ever have that one day? maybe if she gave up her dream. a dream she didn’t plan on ending anytime soon. even if her ex/boyfriend didn’t approve. when august approached mo giggled. “no you are more then welcome to join me. i’m sure you’re hungry,” she spoke as soon a waitress came to take her order. “i’ll take a waffle with strawberries and bananas please, and whatever this lovely lady wants,” she waved over to the other. mo was absolutely ready to tear into some sugary goodness. her stomach was on empty, and she needed fuel. the coffee was helping just a bit. “oh, and some more coffee,”

mo sat at the diner close to the links. it wasn’t her ideal spot, but they had waffles that you could die for. her coffee was as black as her soul. which only helped with the ranging headache she had from the night before. maybe drinking after winning her match wasn’t the best idea. at least her hangover could be counted as worth it. as the diner got more crowded she noticed someone looking for a seat. with sigh she held her hand up waving them down. “hey over here,”

kimi’s diet as of late consisted primarily of microwaved meals just because they were all too convenient, especially when she just needed to eat something quick before streaming. but if she had another at this point, she was sure she was going to be sick. a quick yelp search later, she stumbled upon a diner with amazing reviews, not to mention a mouthwatering menu, and after making sure mochi was settled without her, she took off down 23rd street in search of it. 

she honestly hadn’t expected it to be so busy, with people filling almost every booth and table, but a short glance down to her phone reminded her that she’d come at the lunch rush. kimi chewed on her bottom lip as she searched for a spot, only to see a familiar face waving her over. kimi beamed and made her way over quickly, relief washing over her at the thought of maybe not eating alone for the first time in a while. 

“ hey, is it cool if i join you ? i think everyone else in san diego had the same lunch plans … ” she giggled, waiting to hear the girl’s response before she actually took a seat, unsure of her intentions.

immediately recognizing the all too familiar features on the woman who had beckoned him over, jaesun just barely managed to keep himself from groaning at his luck ━ or maybe his lack thereof. it’s not that he didn’t want to see mo, on the contrary in fact, but it was the fact that he couldn’t seem to see her without the two of them leaving with broken hearts all over again━ as if they were stuck on an endless loop of finding their way back to each other only to leave more upset than the last time. and yet, despite that, he found himself continuing to close the distance between them━ as he always did━ until he was stood at the side of her table, hands shoved uncertainly into the pockets of his jeans. “ nice of you to offer the seat up to a stranger but are you really sure that I’m the one you want to share your coffee with? ” he doubled checked, braced for rejection and yet hoping to at least avoid yet another fight.

shit. not just shit. holy shit. realizing the person she was actually calling over was jae. her hand quickly went back down as she got her thoughts together. seeing the other just pulled on her heart strings. her heart was not ready to see him again. it had been a few weeks since she’d seen him. avoiding texts and calls just so she could protect her heart. jae didn’t agree with her dream her dream of being the best fighter in the state. trying to protect her from getting a few bruises here and there. yet, he held so much of her heart it was hard to let go. mo tried her hardest not to watch him walk towards her table. from under her lashes she glanced just enough for her heart to quicken it’s beat. with skipping a beat her hues caught. being this close was causing her breathing to quicken. a sad smile met her lips as her hues roamed over the other. “jae don’t be like that,” motioning for the other to sit she took another sip of her coffee. sighing her chin came to rest on her palm. “look i’m sorry for avoiding you. i just needed some time to think,” their last fight involved her current secret. mo couldn’t keep it from him. jae was her best friend who just so happened to end up being her boyfriend from time to time. “i didn’t want to leave you after our fight,”

realizing it was the one and only neighbor that her and destiny loved to bug. or well maybe it was the other way around? either way mo had come to actually like the girl. even if her music played a little too loud at night. once she of course realized it was for the other’s “job” she stopped complaining so much. what would se say if someone told her she couldn’t fight anymore? she’d keep doing it regardless that’s what. giving the other a warm smile as she nodded her head. while her fingers ran through her raven locks. “yeah, go ahead. i wonder why it’s so busy. usually it’s pretty dead around here,” chuckling while her fingers intertwined around the handle of the coffee mug in front of her. careful to bring it to her lips. “i’m going with this is your first time here?” pointing out the obvious as always. letting a small smirk form on her lips just before taking a sip of her liquid gold. “i usually get a waffle with strawberries and bananas on top. unless, you want lunch then i suggest a double bacon cheese burger with spicy fries,” you could tell the petite woman spent a lot of time here. it was close to her exes apartment. which was their usual spot back in the day. now it was just well hers. ”no streaming today?”

✧｡ lee mijoo. twenty three.female. ｡✧ is that MOLAN (MO) SUN  living at THE HEIGHTS in APARTMENT #2102? i heard the REALESTATE AGENT has lived there for ONE YEAR now. every time you pass by you can hear IDGAF BY DUA LIPA playing. maybe they play it because they’re friends would say they’re the CATACLYSMIC. it could just me assuming things. even if they would say they are AMBITIOUS and REALISTIC. that doesn’t mean they can’t be CARELESS or STUBBORN. let’s just stop by and ask them sometime. considering they’d describe themselves as the sweat dripping off clothes after a hard workout, the smell of fresh coffee, and loud music playing in your ears. that’s if they’ll actually answer the door. good luck. molan sun, was raised in a pretty normal family. her father loved his only girl with everything in him. her mother of course adored her. they gave their only girl everything. even if she was the oldest. their baby girl would always be just that. whatever she wanted she got. she grew up in busan, south korea until the age of 15. that’s when her parents decided to have a new start, moving to america was a big step for them all. her father became of the best neurosurgeons in the the state of california. her mother was a stay at home mom since molan had 2 younger brothers. being a teen, and being the new girl was kind of big for her. being brand spanking new in an upscale private school as all the rage. within the first week she’d become actively popular. making friends easy for the sake they were curious about her. 

molan had a love for sports. she became apart of the swim team, and even won a few state records. that was until she fell in love with kick boxing. one of her sleezy exes in high school introduced her to it. they’d sneak out to catch the underground fights. given they’d have to get in with fake ids. that didn’t stop molan though. once she saw how fearless those ladies were. she begged her parents for lessons. they didn’t see the harm in it. they took it as a way for her to defend herself. when in reality it was an awakening of what she wanted to do with her life. that was until her parents guilted her into going to college. taking the easy way out she became a real-estate agent for the upscale part of town. easily becoming successful at it. she keeps her boxing a secret. wearing a disguise every time she fights. just so no one will find out it’s her. other then that she loves living with a roommate, and loves to annoy her friends.

SUMMARY: love my baby girl. she’s pretty dark and a bit preppy. we love that tho right? doesn’t let people get close. oops? lol. mo is bi.
