Heather huffed and crossed her arms, more irritated than anything else now. “Well don’t ask like that. It’s rude and sexist,”

“Oh, I’m sorry to hear that.” Jenn didn’t really care much for this Heather, but she could tell she was a little upset. Jenn saw the moment of Heather’s vulnerability and said “I’ve got something that could make you feel better?”

Heather stared long and hard at Jenn, weighing her options. She knew exactly what the girl meant but did she want that? Heather wasn’t much of a habitual drug user, more of a social one. “No,” she shook her head, “I’ve got my own shit,” Which wasn’t an exact lie. Heather did, indeed, have her own method.

“Whoa, someone sounds like they’re on their period!” Kurt said as he walked up to heather. “You look stressed, what’s up?”
Heather’s jaw dropped and she stopped mid-stride, pivoting sharply to face Kurt. “Excuse me?! Are you high? An idiot? A lower level of human evolution?! Because you better actually be a neanderthal to think it’s okay to ask me a question like that!”
“This is utter bullshit and I swear to god that bitch is going to pay for this!”

“Oh. Uh. Okay.” Veronica put her nose back into her notebook, and started scribbling concept ideas. She knew this would happen. The minute the teacher paired her with Heather Duke, the Saline Queen, Veronica knew there was no way she was going to do any less than ninety percent of this project. Fine. Fine, who cares. She was going to pass her exams.
“So glad you get it now. Have fun,”

“Okay… How do you want to do this. A PowerPoint is easy, but since we’re doing a relatively easy concept, I don’t know if I want to take the chance on simply doing a PowerPoint. What about you?”
Heather waved her hand dismissively, “I gave you the topic, I did my part. Now you do your part. I don’t care how you do it just don’t fuck it up ‘cuz then I have to fuck you up. I doubt we want that,”
I prayed for the death of Heather Chandler many times, and I felt bad everytime I did it but I kept doing it anyway. Now I know you understood everything. Praise Jesus, Hallelujah.
“Nice use of the word redundant. I didn’t realize high school princesses had ten-dollar vocabularies.”
“You cut those programs, you cut people’s joy in life; their reason to come to class every day. High school is a system; a hierarchy. If people gave up on the system, where would that leave you?”
“Your Payless sneakers are ten dollars. My vocabulary, like everything else about me, is priceless,”
“But orchestra and concert band? Chamber and concert choir? There are many courses that we could just combine and no one would really care or even notice. As for the system, another one would just rise up. It’s human nature and I’d be at the top of that one too,”

“I said the topics were overused. But they’re easy, and they’ll be done quickly enough.” Veronica made a few more notations on her notebook. “I figured you’d want to be done quickly. This will get the job done.”
“Fine,” Heather reached into her purse and pulled out her book. Without a second glance to Veronica she leaned back and settled into the plastic chair the best she could with the book, “Get the job done,”

“You guessed right, you mind helping me out with that? I promise I’ll make it fun for the both of us”
“Right, fun. I’m sure you have some big fun planned,”
“That’s probably the stupidest thing I’ve heard all day.”
“Seeing as how you go to Westerburg I sincerely doubt that. Besides, it isn’t stupid. It’s simple math. If some programs and classes were cut, such as our redundant music programs, then that money could be spent elsewhere and for more useful purposes,”

Jenn found herself biting her lip to hold her laughter. Why was she laughing again? “Well if anytime soon you feel like losing the bitchy attitude and gaining some grass, I’ll be in creative writing.”
Heather scoffed, “Yeah, no. I’ll pass,” Well, that wasn’t exactly true but Heathers don’t pay for their..goods.
