you guys think there’s a chance suo just has an eating disorder? a big thing we learned about in psych courses regarding ed’s is that they’re a sense of control for the person

i did a documentary discussing them (senior year project) and the people who agreed to be interviewed all discussed the way their lives were out of control and how much they ate, when they ate, etc. was the one thing they could control

suo seems like he’s insanely used to controlling everything (be it against his will or not)

a character who truly, legitimately goes “but why does that matter?” about their feelings when someone who cares about them asks. and the sudden falling of everyone around them’s faces as they realize that this person doesn’t recognize themself as someone who needs or should be taken care of. i want Everyone to hurt. surprise at the idea, worry for them, horror at not having noticed. do you see this person who doesn’t think of themselves as a person?

i wonder if suo’s reaction to nirei knowing he had a dislike/aversion to natto was less the “oh the class now knows something i don’t like” and more

“how did nirei get this information”

like i wonder if it was slight fear of if nirei managed to find such a niche, mundane fact about him— what else could nirei know/figure out?
