SIMON CHOOSES VIOLENCE AS A LAST RESORT AND EVEN WHEN HE IS VIOLENT, HE ALWAYS APOLOGIZES (ex: when he slammed his hand on the control panel of the sub HE LITERALLY SAID “sorry” TO AN INANIMATE OBJECT and he also said sorry for literally BLASTING THE SCIENTIST WITH RADIATION.) SIMON IS QUITE LITERALLY THE TROPE “I’m not a violent dog. I don’t know why I bite.” NOBODY UNDERSTANDS HIM LIKE I DO.

Monkie Kid AU, where a few years before Wukong meets MK... one of Wukong's enemies created a potion that would take away Wukong's sentience; thus, Wukong can't stop the demons anymore...

The potion was meant to be permanent, but Wukong's power made it last only 24 hours... Wukong defeats the potion-making enemy, but remembers how happy and care-free he was with a simple monkey brain...

So, Wukong finds a way to replicate the potion and takes it once a month, so Wukong can have a break from being the Monkey King...

Wukong loves being Monkey King, but it can be too stressful sometimes; he just wants to stop thinking and be a simple monkey for a day...

One day, Macaque finds Wukong having one of his 'Mindless Monkey Days', figures out that Wukong drinks those potions on purpose, and Macaque believes that Wukong wouldn't remember him being here... so, Macaque does things like cuddle Wukong, feed Wukong and play with Wukong...

But Wukong does remember what happened, when the potion wears off... however, Wukong pretends that he doesn't remember because he loves the affection Macaque gives him in his simple monkey state...

However, when MK finds Wukong having one of his 'Mindless Monkey Days', he freaks out and thinks Wukong is cursed...

When Wukong regains his sentience, he awkwardly explains to MK that about the potions he uses to become a simple monkey for a while...
