Nononono this is bad bad BAD!

There’s no population boom that there’s now an “excess” of Manatees. They are still critically endangered.

The Trump administration had them (and others) removed from the Endangered Species Act so they no longer have regulatory environmental protections. (The things that regulate boating, polution, and interaction)

Always question when an animal loses it’s Endangered status. They lose their protections when they are. Their environment is no longer protected (at least, specifically for them). They can often be accessible to hunting. Question why they were removed, and many times you will find they were inconveniencing someone with money wanting more money, or was politically motivated (because of money).
