One of my favorite comic pieces I did for MIO: Memories in Orbit ⭐ I love LOVE the dialogue at the beginning of the game and thought it deserved a tribute <3 (environmental art is usually my weakness but the Crucible was super fun to draw!!)

Thanks so much!! I love Dr. Halyn a bunch if you can't tell- (also game Spoilers ahead--)

My headcanons are kind of lame, but I do tend to think she had a rough childhood. Parents/guardians who didn't care or bother to understand her, so she spent a lot of time alone (mostly with bots). As a result, she's very independent (which we see in the game with her obsession with mobility and saving the Vessel on her own terms). I think she's misunderstood in general :*)

Another kinda headcanon I have is that some of her animosity toward Mio in the game is a result of her own Keeper(s) abandoning her, and here she's faced with Asma's extremely loyal Keeper following Asma's will even after her death. It's probably like rubbing salt in the wound, y'know? To add to that, it's likely she knows that both Mel and Samsk have been helping Mio while the other Keepers went out of their way to stop Mio from interfering with the Voices (Nabuu protecting Amytis, Shii following Noden's orders, Ati... etc)

Anyway, her crashout during the AnRa fight honestly feels valid XD

Since Dr. Halyn is pretty short for a Traveller, does she struggle with day-to-day stuff?

(Totally not inspired by me and my daily struggle of "Everything is too TALL for me-" /Silly)

Haha, for sure! I'm pretty short, too (so I feel the pain XD). My thought is she created different bots and mechanisms to help her reach high things in her workshop/lab, but ultimately it was easier to climb on top of her shelves/desk like a gremlin instead 😂

At least she's intimidating enough that other travelers didn't give her a hard time about her height. If they made the mistake of cracking a joke about it, they only ever did it once 💀
