Richard Gadd with Claire Danes for Actors on Actors means he’s one degree of separation from Hannigram since she’s married to Hugh Dancy
You love me, don't you?
I’ve watched a lot of Richard interviews and one of the constant things he says is that he never wants to just outright say what message he’s trying to convey to his audience in his shows. He wants for the audience to interpret and take away what they (meaning us) want to take away and I really do appreciate that. Because while I’m here trying to piece shit together and making sense of things and like asking why the show left that part out or it didn’t address this one other thing, the creator himself says “yeah it’s exactly whatever you want it to be” and it makes me feel a bit better about the finale tbh. I can fill in my own blanks and reach a conclusion that aligns with the show and my own vision.
Do I wish that some things were explored more in the show or we had more episodes to develop some more storylines and arcs? Of course. But that’s what fan fiction is for. (Which I am looking forward to btw)
Is it messed up of me to think that finale wasn’t “depraved” enough? Obviously it’s all levels of fucked up and I’m not trying to minimize what happened but idk. When that one reviewer said it was depraved I was kind of expecting way worse. I don’t know what that says about me tbh
I don’t know how to feel about that finale tbh. I loved it but at the same time idk…
I lowkey wished Niall didn’t blurt out the Mona thing and that maybe Ruben figured it out later on his own or something. I also wished they talked more in the barn scene
genuinely how I feel about recommending this show
