- Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â you never gave me what little humanity every person is owed. i understand that there are ABOMINATIONS AND MONSTROSITIES that should be forgotten and erased from history, but even hurricanes have names.
( independent & selective THE BEING, of mary shelleyâs frankenstein, or the modern prometheus. / established november 2013. / penned by kyra. / poem cred. / promo cred. )
oh iâll bury the hatchet all right. iâll bury it in your spine.
âLearn from me, if not by my precepts, at least by my example, how dangerous is the acquirement of knowledge and how much happier that man is who believes his native town to be the world, than he who aspires to become greater than his nature will allow.â
so as most of you know from my constant and passionate screaming, i have ridiculously specific headcanons about frankensteinâs appearance, and i finally decided to commission some art that would reflect those headcanons!! @djurito is an absolute darling who did the art in my current mobile header, so she was the first person i thought of to do my version of victor, and i couldnât be more pleased. this is absolutely perfect. if you ever have some money to spare, please consider commissioning this incredible artist!!

âDifficult how?â Anthony was an intelligent person, he was confident he could keep up with the doctorâs explanation.
The doctor was free to ignore him, or turn down his help. Anthony wasnât one of those Lords who expected people to bow down and kiss his feet. He liked to treat everyone equally; regardless of their station in life.
âI can assure you sir, Iâm more than my money. Give me a chance to see how much I understand.â All the scientists were here to get funding, if this doctor wanted money, heâd have to be a bit more receptive. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
the young scientist held his tongue for more than a few moments. there was no one besides himself who was aware of the unorthodox nature of his work, how undisclosed it must stay. even with the most curious of strangers, his work, if explained, would prove him to possess some level of insanity.
   âmy work focuses on the process of lengthening life,    preserving our mind and body from decay. those are    the simplest terms Iâm able to use.â victorâs focus    was not preservation, but creation and regeneration.    this lie would allow for him to work in a more suitable    facility, as his closed off apartment was not an ideal    environment. and he would be given time and    resources to dedicate to his research. on the other hand, victor would have to hide his true intentions, create false data and false experiments, ensure that his benefactor believed that his research was within moral boundaries. if the gentleman were to insist, let him believe in a lie.
I am someone who did not die when I should have died.

FRANKENSTEIN AESTHETICS â VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN.
ââWhy do you call to my remembrance,â I rejoined, âcircumstances of which I shudder to reflect, that I have been the miserable origin and author? Cursed be the day, abhorred devil, in which you first saw light! Cursed (although I curse myself) be the hands that formed you! You have made me wretched beyond expression. You have left me no power to consider whether I am just to you or not. Begone! Relieve me from the sight of your detested form!ââ ( portrait credit. )
hello iâm staying home from school today to get ready for finals so I wonât be on but! mutuals can ask for my skype to chat!

@vicemirrored !
victor found henry to be endearing beyond what he could describe. the two young scientists had only met on a small handful of occasions outside of the lecture hall, but every unexpected encounter was a great joy to frankenstein. there was mostly chatting about the science of chemistry, a shared interest but hardly discussion that would lead to anything more than small-talk to fill silences. at the last lecture of the day, victor decides to offer an invitation for henry to join him at a pub later in the evening. this wasnât the young manâs idea of a thrilling time, but it was the most casual environment to spark up interesting conversation.
students trickled out the door in a sluggish single file, victor slipping through gaps to bring himself at henryâs side. âhenry--I wanted to ask if youâd want to accompany me at the pub later tonight.â the words came barreling out faster than he would have liked. but he still looked up with expectation.
like this for a small starter! i want to interact with new people!!

@modernprxmetheus continued from here !
   She frownsâ thinking that she was too late in warning him as the truck comes speeding off the corner and her view is obstructed by snow, only momentarily. Mortals were so strange. They were rarely ever careful in the snow and ice; something she had mastered, but they only understood part of its beauties and dangers.    The truck, thankfully, passes without a spray of blood, and leaves him unharmed, giving her the ability to relax. Approaching him carefully, as if she was still unsure if saving a life had been really worth it. âAre you alright?â
âuh -- I believe so, yesâ he says as if heâs not quite sure himself. it was incredibly fortunate that this stranger had called out, as no other individual was  in sight. even the cars were sparse and none seemed to take notice of what occurred.
âthank you, truly. I would have been under the wheels had you not warned me.â his eyes hadnât yet looked up towards hers. he was still looking down, picking his hands up out of the snow one at a time as if to examine them. to a stranger he must have seemed to be in a trace of some sort.
he finally lifts his head towards the woman who saved him. âmy apologies, but could you perhaps tell me where I am? Iâm not familiar with this areaâ
