Watch this video of Xena single-handedly destroying 100 men to get you in the mood to smash the patriarchy. This fight scene from One Against an Army (edited a bit for length) is one of the longest and most intense fights of the entire series and every second of it is an adrenaline rush.

This is just one of the things I love so much about Xena: Warrior Princess.

Look at this fight scene. Now compare it to similar scenes in modern shows and movies.

Xena isn’t worried about slow-motion glamor shots or eye-candy poses or sexy smoldering expressions. She’s entirely focused on kicking unholy amounts of ass and everything about her screen presence reflects this. She sweats, she snarls, she bares her teeth, she gives those fantastic war cries.

Sure her armor has a short skirt and a sweetheart neckline. But whenever she draws a blade, she is a THREAT, and I will always love that about her.

Also Lucy Lawless has the best “Fuck Around And Find Out” crazy eyes ever.

Ive gone through such extreme measures to hide my real feelings that now nobody knows how I actually feel.

When was the last time you were happy?

I havent gotten an anon in years and of all the questions to ask me, its this this one.

The last time i was happy was a month ago.

A month ago everything changed.

I had friends, i had a circle of comfort, i felt safe. I didnt worry about sleeping or waking up, i wasnt hated or judged, my mistakes hadn't caught up with me. Everything was okay.

I have 3 greatest fears.

The first came true over 10 years ago. I thought my life had been ruined.

That is until the second.

The second came true a month ago. The collateral damage from that ruined everything, and nothing will be the same ever again.

One day, hopefully, i can look back at this mistake from a place of comfort without my chest hurting, without sobbing, with no pain.

To be honest i dont really like remembering the last time I was happy. Its just a reminder that I wont get that moment back again.
