Also known as The Anomaly, or Dead Face Prime
It’s sort of funny since Bad End/Chaldea AU Dreadkuno is already a possible bad future, but this being would be a proper continuation of Dreadkuno’s story into the modern day of Extra’s world.
Anyway, the idea behind this one is that Prime is a remains of Velber 03, dubbed by the Greek Gods as Nemesis, assimilating Dreadkuno's deteriorated memories into itself to the point of beginning to believe it IS Dreadkuno - it’s a sublimation of Dreadkuno’s lost memories due to Amnesia Syndrome (Alaya) into Velber 03, the supposed “Goddess of Revenge” and a being that attacks the soul directly instead of Sefar who deals mass destruction.
Hakuno Alter is only Dreadkuno’s memories and does not have any of her rationality or emotion except for hatred. As opposed to Chaldea Dreadkuno who still has those intact and suffers more from self-loathing but bears no ill will towards Moon Hakuno, Alter despises them off of the sole belief that their NPC counterpart “stole” their life, and desires nothing more than to kill them as “payback”. In reality of course, Alter is just Velber 03 kinning way too hard and trying to rationalize it's conflicting belief of Dreadkuno's desires and it's own purpose to prepare Earth for the Umbral Star.
As mentioned before, Alter is a sort of retake of Dead Face from Last Encore, you could consider that incarnation of Dead Face a sort of faulty prototype that leaked into the Near Side thanks to Saver shutting down the Moon Cell’s functions. Though, given of course there are more than one Dead Face seen in that story, the same goes for this proposed Extella 2.
Nemesis as an alien lifeform is beyond normal human understanding. In fact, you could say Nemesis isn't just *one* lifeform, it's true form is a hivemind of insectoid specimens. During the White Titan's assault on Earth and the Moon Cell, Nemesis, known as the Silent Hive, attacked the souls of the planet's life, corrupting them into vicious, hateful beings. When Sefar was destroyed by the original Excalibur wielder - a past incarnation of Morgan le Fay, Nemesis took the death of her "sibling" very personally, vowing vengeance against Morgan's direct bloodline, which is why it targeted Dreadkuno in the future. The Greek Pantheon led by Zeus would capture Nemesis and seal it's hive inside an effigy to use for trials as an incarnation of retribution. The sectors of the hive that attacked the Moon Cell instead would be sealed into the depths of the Dark Side, where it would plot and mold itself into a twisted doppleganger of Dreadkuno and attempt to escape.
As Nemesis being a hivemind implies, it's main way of spreading across the Moon Cell is resurrecting the dead in a sort of Zombie apocalypse, all of them being potential reconstructions of Amnesia Syndrome victims and those killed in the Moon’s Grail War like Julius and Twice, I also think it’d be cool if they pull a Matrix and have many of these nameless Dead Faces be clones of male and female Hakuno visually, just to fuck with the Moon King further.
There is hope though; this is where I think BB would be reintroduced as she sunk into the Far Side according to Extella Material, to me, it’d make sense if she was the one holding Alter and their vengeful hoard at bay during Extella 1 and Link, all to try and save her senpai’s basis.
Not only that, but I picture around this time, Dreadkuno/the original Hakuno would have been rescued by Rin and Rani and would be recovering physically from their stasis while shit is going down in Seraph. What could be cool though is that perhaps Velber 03 indirectly created a sort of reversal solution for Amnesia Syndrome, and after pacifying Alter in the Moon Cell, they can perhaps merge her into the human Dreadkuno - essentially restoring her memories and making her truly whole again.
(And then Dreadkuno goes off onto cool adventures with Rin and Rani on earth liberating humanity from the Harweys while Moon Hakuno prepares to deal with Velber 01 and the final showdown yay)
To tell you the truth, Alter is heavily inspired by the resurgence of Sonic.exe stuff on the internet, specifically 2017X Sonic as Alter shares many similarities with it, such as reacting violently if the validity of its identity is questioned.
