Little headcanon that Sebastian sometimes speaks like he's from a different time, since he hasn't been on earth for a while before meeting Ciel. So he tends to use phrases or words that aren't really used anymore. I think it would be pretty interesting considering that he also wasn't so perfect at the beginning of the contract and needed to learn how to properly behave among humans.

However, when he and Ciel are alone the earl thinks it quite endearing whenever the demon speaks or behaves in a way that isn't entirely victorian custom. Apart from other things they do that aren't entirely victorian custom either
