Our largest gosling has a great personality and all of them want to be close to my face shown here with my hand for support they get heavier every day and even more unwieldy to allow to climb me idk why they do it, initially I thought it was just to do with eating my hair, but only one of them really does that, they mostly just want to get under my chin but they are going to be big birds and the poops are horrendous, so I’ve had to put a towel over myself in this sweltering heat just to avoid the deluge of baby poo… honestly at this point though they could get away with murder. I am so attached to them and they are so unbelievably cute.

The giant ant is complete, and it turned out so much better than I’d even imagined! It’s also surprisingly easy to comfortably carry around, which I did not expect

Turns out it’s tricky to try to take a selfie with a giant ant, this one is blurry but it’s the best of the ones I took, and I took it while slowly tilting sideways and almost falling over (the cabinet I am using as a backdrop is not that tall so I have to slouch at a weird angle to make it work and today it did not work so well lol)

One of the most beautiful drift wood pieces I’ve ever seen, made by a local artist, and a squishy frog a shop gave me! I absolutely love him an plan to add him to more posts in future he’s so CUTE!

We take them in the house in the evenings as they are still too little and fluffy to be left overnight, but they’re already getting tired of the brooder and too big 👀 if I could I’d have them by my side all the time they want to stay close and follow me so well, I don’t think they identify as birds lol.

I may post some pics from when we first got them, we have chicken too! I just haven’t been active on socials for so long.. too much grief and being busy settling in. These kids dirty up water SO FAST and are still getting used to the chickens. They don’t like them to get too close but I can’t wait to see their first real swim!

Baby in the woods

I’ve been making lil Dino babies here’s my spino I had a number of complications with it mostly to do with the curing and drying of the paint and resin. I’m not entirely sure why but given some time in the sun it was finally not sticky!!

Frog

Found a pickerel frog (poisonous) while moving planters he had to be moved we, didn’t wanna squish him by mistake, such a pretty lil garden fren! We have water lettuce in big containers I think those are what attracted it to an otherwise aired garden.

they probably cant love me back in a human or even mammalian sense, but my goldfish with their smooth pea-sized brain have learned to trust that i will make them better when they are sick. i feel like crying about this often

Maybe Princess the tarantula never had anything resembling what we as humans know as emotions, but she still came out of her burrow and up to the glass when we’d talk to her and used to stare at the drawing I’d tape to her terrarium. Maybe she couldn’t even comprehend what we were, but she knew we were there to take care of her. And even if she never showed that sort of curiosity or trust we’d still love her.

Idk if Munchie the praying mantis felt love for me, but I do know he trusted me enough to climb onto my hand when offered and was comfortable with allowing me to carry him places despite me being absolutely massive in comparison to him. So that's close enough in my book.

a couple of days ago I learnt about the existence of printing filaments made with wood fibers so I've become fully brain obsessed with learning how to use them to print wooden toys... they can be sanded, stained and varnished - I just have to get more items and learn how to use them... wooden toy 💭
