some things from filing for love i really enjoy:
in ah wears boxy, oversized clothing at work; when ki joon tails her and follows her into a space that is not work--not a private space, but a space where she's not anyone's boss, a space where she gets to be someone else--he sees her naked. the stylists for the show didn't *have* to dress shin hae sun that way for her character, but they chose to because they are also helping to tell the story.
ki joon has a sex dream about in ah (which he interprets/experiences as a nightmare asdfghjkl) after she catches him when he trips and holds him when he faints (roooomaaaaaannnnccceeeee) and then in the very next episode a woman says she thinks in ah is pretty and that alone is enough to make ki joon stare at her and realize he thinks she's pretty, too.
ki joon is the one who takes care of the office plant, and it's not a secret, exactly, but it's also not something anyone else knows or notices. in ah notices it. she knows this about him. and she likes smelling the little flower that's bloomed from the plant.
in ah loves scaring ki joon. and, taking his dream about her into consideration, he likes being scared by her.
i already wrote about this, but i love love love that ki joon and ah jeong are exes living together who really are just friends with no romantic or sexual tension between them at all
i think ki joon is such a good romcom character, cause he's a great comedic character and a great romantic character: comedic in that his problems are kind of petty and also self inflicted, romantic in that he's too compassionate for his interest in in ah to remain antagonistic--before he even catches her doing something helpful for a member of the team he's already worrying about her eating habits and wondering what kind of person she is, instead of only thinking about how to bring her down
whatever shin hae sun is doing with her hands and her delivery. the way she like flashes her hands in people's faces as she speaks to them? i cackle every time. and i don't speak korean but how she's saying her lines is so clipped and hard, like bullets being shot, and it makes everything funnier cause everyone else is just at work doing their jobs and she's like. At Work. Doing Her Job.
maybe it's cause i experience corporate office culture as a nightmare that deadens my soul, darkens my life, and is stealing years off the end of my life, but what mr. moo said about spending 9 hours of the day with his coworkers and only 2 with his kids means he has to be good to the people he works with otherwise his life would be meaningless made me tear up. (i know i know. make a decision or live and die this way.)
all the cameos! lee jung eun (cafeteria lady in ep 3) was in once again with oh dae hwan (mr. moo); park ha sun (wife being cheated on in ep1) was in drinking solo with gong myung; shin hyun soo has been in some of my fav shows (laughter in waikiki, age of youth)
how well gong myung's suits fit him
