sorry guys, looks like i'll be dropping. i can't really keep up anymore. i had fun with all of you.
A notice for people I have threads with, or those who are interested.
❝I see…Yes, I just arrived here. Though it seems like a pretty bad time to show up. What are those things I’ve been hearing about?❞
You're telling me.
...the Pariahs. They turn into monsters without the sun, or something like that. The important thing is that the best thing you can do is beat them and run, frankly. If you can't kill them, that is.
The subtle, mutual understanding between the two of them made it easier for them to communicate unlike with some others that he conversed with. ”Up for a kick around before you go?" He questioned as hues shifted to glance aside himself briefly.
[He grinned, the prospect of a game with his former teammate was something he could get into.]
Sounds good to me.
❝Well, I hope it’ll come in handy, given the circumstances… Tell me, is it always so hectic here?❞
More or less. The scientists say it's not an experiment this time, but I wouldn't trust the people that kidnapped us in the first place. You're a newbie then?
❝Oh— Yeah, I guess you’re right.❞
You could even swing it like a really thin baseball bat if it's heavy enough.
[[ So I've got my current threads on hold for the event, would anyone like to thread with a small middle school student with a soccer ball as a weapon? I've got an open, but if you want to thread you should defs hit me up. If you like this post I'll send you a message, ect. ]]
❝A wooden sword?❞
With enough power, that could be a decent enough weapon.
Better to be a spirit in Heaven. [Event]
It was interesting, to wonder how the Pariah had ended up near death. Did it tumble off the side of a roof? Whatever the event was, the fiend had found itself impaled on a broken rebar, near death. The old man raised his right hand up to the beast’s head and… begun to absorb it globule by globule.
And just like that… life. The old man felt life for the first time in days. It was funny really, to feel alive as the decay set in around everywhere else. His posture fixed itself and he stood upright; colour returned to part of his hair, as wrinkles disappeared. The elderly was young again.
Is it wasn’t for the right half of his body being hideously disfigured, you’d almost mistake him for a normal man. He opened his eyes - all of them - his right arm suddenly spying every direction available.
One exit was trapped by the sights of even more Pariahs, obviously drawn to the smell of their dead brother… perhaps with revenge in mind. And in the other direction, someone was running, also followed by their own horde of beasts.
When they entered the small clearing the junction provided Magusar greeted them with a nod, doing well to hide the pain he was just in. He spoke clearly, with perfect dictation:
"It seems… that you and I appear to be trapped together. So for the time being, would you be willing to be ‘partners’?"
[That horde of infernal beasts was still chasing him, but the mohawked boy thought he could lose them with just a little more effort. With burst of running speed, Fudou dashed forward, soccer ball currently in hand, and found himself charging into a small clearing with a stranger. He nearly crashed into the guy, but a reflexive turn of his foot allowed him to quickstep around him.
For a short moment the child stopped and caught his breath, only to have it get caught in his throat as he spotted the massive amount of real moving eyes on the arm of the stranger he had almost run into. He took a step back and looked between the man's face and his arm, trying to decide if he looked safe enough to stick around. This city had shown Fudou things just as weird as this, but with the outbreak going on, he wanted to be cautious. His thinking gave an opportune moment for the other to speak. "Partners," he said? The boy took a look around him, realizing too late that they were, in fact, surrounded. His chances of survival by himself were slim to none.
He took one more second of deliberation before giving the man a nod, a coy grin following immediately after.]
I won't tell if you won't.
[He dropped the ball that had still been in his arms to his feet, already readying himself for action. The pariahs didn't seem to be leaving anytime soon.] My name is Fudou, by the way.
I DID IT I FINALLY UPDATED MY THREADS PAGE AFTER 2 MONTHS NOW I CAN SLEEP
I have to get up in two hours anyway RIP good night
the ball really is a weapon; open
[Left, right, behind you, around that corner, these things were everywhere. In addition to that, the eclipse made it harder to spot them. It was a good thing Fudou's reflexes were as good as they were, he had kept up practice ever since he had been taken into this city.
More and more, however, the athlete was getting better at avoiding the monsters called "pariahs." He hadn't paid enough attention to them before they had "gone zombie," so he didn't have any qualms about nailing one in the face with his soccer ball whenever they posed a threat. Well, more than one; he had come across a good number of them. His physical skills were proving useful against these things, that's for sure. Especially since getting rid of one of them sometimes made others show up and he would have to make a run for it.
Which brought him back to what he was currently doing, running. Well, he wasn't running as fast as he had been before, he had lost the creature by now. All he had to do know was make it back to the apartment he had designated as a temporary safehouse. He darted around back roads, trying to avoid the main streets. Soon enough though, he was stopped by one of those things. Although it wasn't actually attacking him, it was creeping up on a citizen who seemed too occupied to notice it behind them. Fudou knew he should get going, but instead the soccer ball he was carrying dropped from his hands and his foot connected with the ball, hard enough to send it sailing towards the creature.
Bam, right in the skull. the boy grinned for a second, proud of his own aiming skills. Unfortunately, he couldn't use his hissatsu techniques to attack, the last time he tried that he got a stomachache so bad that he had to hide in a closet and wait for the scene to clear out. The creature fell over from the attack, but it didn't seem to be knocked out, just disoriented. The boy started towards the person whom the zombie had been attacking trying to get them out of danger.]
Hey, you! It's not dead yet, we have to run!

[ The boy just kept staring into the same direction. Sakuma bit his lower lip and then chewed on it. Actually he wanted Fudou and Nagisa and even Genda to think of him as an arrogant person there, one who just wants to do his own thing - it seemed like the easiest excuse, but hearing it right out of Fudou’s mouth like that hurt .. it wasn’t quite the truth after all. Then again, maybe his reasons were selfish … not like that made him feel any better. ]
Just shut up already Fudou!!
[ Finally when Sakuma hissed these words, he shot Fudou a glare. For a second, when he could see Fudou’s despair reflected in his eyes, the boy got weak - he looked sad, dissapointed about himself - but just as quick as this expression appeared, it dissappeared, replaced by a cold glance that avoided Fudou again. Doing that, Sakuma also straightened his posture again. ]
[He could see the nervous habits that Sakuma had developed, had he hurt him with his words? Fudou's eyebrows furrowed. He wasn't going to be soft on him, even if he was being harsh. Both him and Nagisa deserved to know why the eyepatched boy had a problem with teaming up with them; he wasn't afraid to inflict equal damage.
It was when Sakuma yelled that the midfielder got his first real look at his friend's eye(s). The glare he was given was what gave Fudou the proof he needed that there was a real reason to his actions. But as soon as he got to see it, it was gone. The mohawked boy stared at the other, hard.]
I won't! You're mad, right? Are you mad because I'm right? Or because I'm wrong?!
[As annoyed as the boy was, he quieted his voice from shouting to speaking at a slightly higher than normal volume for what he was about to say, though his tone was still highly irate.]
Are you scared for once? I'd think zombies weren't enough to scare you.
[For once, Fudou wanted a straight answer. He usually gave others vague sentences and let them figure the rest out, and was fine with getting the same, but he was sick of guessing games from Sakuma. He didn't like being avoided.]
teammates; closed
[ This was only getting worse with every word spoken, Sakuma had hoped he could flee from the situation, leave them be and survive, but why did they so much insist on the eyepatched boy to join?
He didn’t want to be responsible for them if they died, he didn’t want the burden to have to stop them from getting hurt - Sakuma’s failed his friends before he didn’t want that to happen again, just because he’s weak. ]
Well, you guys should stick together.
[ He explained Nagisa. Sakuma didn’t say anything against the idea of teaming up with someone at all, just teaming up with him … He could feel this was a bad idea. Clicking his tongue at Fudou’s comment about Kidou, the eyepatched boy moved his head away to avoid the other’s gaze once more. This time however he sounded a bit more nervous. ]
I just don’t think it’s a good idea to have me in the team. That’s all.
[The way Sakuma clicked his tongue and looked away from Fudou only annoyed him more. He knew he should cool down and talk more calmly, more rationally, but he was already incredibly riled up. These answers weren't doing anything to help either. He scowled.]
Not a good idea my ass. If anything, your kick would give us a better chance than we have with only mine. You're the forward.
[He clicked his own tongue in annoyance, he hated explaining things. Truthfully, Sakuma's skills would be an ideal addition. His strength and speed could help them get out of a tricky situation, and Fudou would know that his friend would be safe with them. He could work with him.
...But that wasn't what was coming out of his mouth.]
Don't act so high and mighty, like you're better off without us!
teammates; closed
[ Sakuma did another step back when the two were right in front of him - a bit of personal space would be nice right about now, but maybe it was the wrong situation to ask for it. ]
Nothing, I just don’t feel safe around you guys. If Kidou was here, it’d be a whole different deal but…
[ The boy swallowed. He wasn’t looking at either of them - it was usually a sign that he was either lieing or hiding something - if not both. ]
“What’s not safe about us? Shouldn’t we be sticking together?”
Rather than showing anger like Fudou, Nagisa stared at the other boy, looking more hurt than anything. As after school special as it sounded, he always thought that friends should be sticking together in a time of need, and wanting to stay away at a time like this, well… it seemed a bit insulting.
“This isn’t the time to be acting all high and mighty, we have to think of something to do so we won’t get hurt!”
[He wasn't looking at either of them, something was up. Sakuma had no problem looking Fudou in the eye usually, he wasn't going to take that right now.]
Well sorry the great Kidou Yuuto isn't around to give you orders. But that still doesn't answer my question.
[He leaned his face into the forward's line of sight, trying to get the boy to look at him directly. He repeated himself, hoping to get a more truthful answer this time.] What's the big idea? [Truthfully, Fudou had the capability to have more tact than this, but he was getting more irritated by the second. Nagisa was right! They needed to stick together.]
teammates; closed
[Both Nagisa and Fudou had finally cornered Sakuma, looking like they were about to burst. Or rather, Fudou looked rather pissed. He had enough time to think about it, but he couldn't let things slide like this, he wasn't going to let his friend walk away in the middle of a zombie outbreak.]
Hey. What's the big idea?
[Neither of the two out of three boys were going to let the forward go anywhere until this talk had been had, so he might as well give it up.]
[ Sakuma kept quiet for a moment, looking at the mohawked boy downgrading - a look he didn’t give the other for quite a while. ]
Sorry. I’m passing. I’ll do this on my own.
[ Raising a hand to wave goodbye Sakuma left. ]
Wha--hey! Where do you think you're going?!
[He reached his hand out but the boy had already left. Well...shit. Way to go, there went his teammate.]
