John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne, the "Prince of Darkness" of British heavy metal, was a singer, songwriter, and reality TV star who died in July 2025 at the age of 76. Osbourne co-founded the influential band Black Sabbath in 1968 and led them to global fame with his wailing vocals. He was fired from the band due to drug and alcohol dependence, but went on to a successful solo career and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Black Sabbath in 2006.
