YARN.COM shares this handy free knitting tutorial for ‘joining in the round invisibly’.  This is very relevant to me at the moment, as I am teaching myself to knit stocks on circular needles, in the round!  That gap was really annoying me!!

These monster booties are finally done! ...so, one problem with procrastination is it took me so long to knit the second bootie two things happened: 1- my knitting got looser, so one foot is bigger than the other 2- the baby out grew them So ahem... yeah, there are penty of other babies, right?! :)

ooh, is the body one piece? and then pick up stitches for the sleeves?? (cuz thats what it looks like)

i’ve never done sweaters. i dont want to have to do these giant panels and then sleeves and the sew it all together. the more in the round stuff i can do the better, but i dont even know how to search for those type of patterns (on ravelry)

yup, it’s knit in the round in one piece :) i prefer it too, i don’t like grafting... if you want, this pattern is available for free on ravelry, here

otherwise, look for keywords like “raglan” or “yoke” or sometimes “seamless” on ravelry. Those are usually the styles that are knitted in the round. Hope that helps! happy knitting :)

Thanks! :) i’ve been knitting for a while, but it’s my first sweater. I love this pattern, it’s very clear and simple …and easily adaptable to any stitch pattern you want to throw in :)
