Wheeeew lord this episode of DRES AS y'all. Firstly, I just want to say that I really enjoyed this episode overall. If you know me, you know I love love love anything Seven Deadly Sins related. With that being said, spoilers under the cut.
Okay, so the little mini challenge with them picking an apple from the tree and biting into it to see which one has the good apple was hilarious. They all made such awful faces and I want to know what tf it tasted it like. But Pupi eating it and keeping a straight face, like girl how, bc everyone was like on the verge of puking it looked like, lmao. Juriji got the good apple and was Eve, so she got to pick everyone's sins. I'm just going to go down the line and talk about everyone bc I want to.
Pakita: My bby Pakita, god, I hate that it turned out the way it did. She is my favorite queen from all of DRES and one of my fave queens ever and she had my favorite sin, but alas it just wasn't her week. Not to say that the look she had to construct was bad by any means, but I do agree that the outfit didn't say wrath, only the performance did. She did sell tf out of it tho. First two looks were gorgeous, and the headpiece from the Infierno look? Ugh, so fucking good. I loved it. I would say that I'd draw her in it, but I take so damn long with any art these days who knows, lmao.
Sethlas: Miss ma'am is dominating this season holy shit, not only was she in the top, but another lipsync win as well. I hate that she sent home Pakita, but Pakita took it all in stride so it is what it is. That being said her first two looks for Cielo and Infierno were so good. Especially her Infierno look, and I think that look is what really sold her to the judges because the concept and the story and the execution, was so fucking amazing. I do think that her last look was a little, glue stuff to a corset, but it looked good. I mean to make each broken mirror piece fit to look cohesive isn't easy. It could've easily been a hot mess. It was also very clear what her sin was, and would've been even without the hand-held mirror.
Sagittaria: Girl. Okay, so she did an amazing job at the ball, her first two looks were gorgeous as hell. I especially loved her Cielo look because I love French Rococo. However, her fucking attitude? Rotten. You are in your mid-twenties girl, you are not in high school. I hope she grows up and matures, but like... so far she's shown that she is a brat, and it's getting on everyone's nerves. Including mine. Also like, she was High, that is a lot of emotions for High. And her third look was just a dress with a few belts. Nowhere did that say lust, and I, personally, didn't see the phallic imagery in the dress that she mentioned. The dress was well done, but it wasn't lust, sorry girl.
Pupi: Look queen she is not. The first two weren't bad at all, and her Infierno look was the best IMO, but that last one. Oof... That was an example of how gluing things to a corset can go horribly wrong. I do think gluttony is kind of one of the more difficult sins to make glamorous or appealing on the runway, so she was already at a disadvantage. I do think the judging was correct and that she deserved her bottom placement, but I also think she really did her best and did better than s1e1.
Samantha: Gooped and gagged tbfh. She did so well, and I was not expecting that at all. Even the look she created herself was pretty damn good. She sold it and embodied greed perfectly, and her Infierno look was so good. Loved it, loved her invisible non-binary dog named RuPaul, it was just amazing. IMO, she was a lot more fun and entertaining to watch than Sagi and I wouldn't have been mad if she had been in the top over her. There I said it.
Hornella: I love me some Hornella, and I think she did well this week. I really loved her Cielo look, I think it was really well done. I also loved her Infierno look being Anubis, I thought it was a fun take on that runway theme for sure. I thought her last look was well done, nothing remarkable per se, but nothing wrong with it either. I do think her safe placement was justified.
Juriji: I mean, of course she's going to be in the top 2 with Sethlas. Every look was so good. Loved the hot air balloon for Cielo and the fuckin red light in her mouth for the Infierno look was really neat. I think Infierno was my favorite of hers, but her last look for sloth was perfection. Absolutely nailed it, and when she took off the duvet and revealed her lingerie with the little teddy bears on it, it was just fantastic.
So yeah! That's about it. Great episode, and of course I love seeing Supremme every week~ Can I just say I really loved that red wig she had on this week. Omg. Taking me back to old school Supremme when red was her signature color instead of the silver with black roots. Can't wait for next week!
