hello pals and gals, if you’re still on this blog in 2018 and you feel the need to hit up my antiope for whatever reason, you may find her on this multimuse that’s p much a graveyard of characters i refuse to let fcking die. i don’t really see myself using this blog in the future so that’s where i’ll be if you need me, or u may find me on my main blogs, mxdam and vorcotec.

the blogs i’ll be staying active on in the foreseeable future:

margarethe and jane are probably my most reliable muses in the sense that i might have off days or even off weeks, but they’re always there in some capacity when i reach for them. karen is definitely in third in that regard, but that’s mostly because she needs a Mood™ to be written, and i don’t always have the resources to spookify every line.

of all these, i see artemisia being the least active, just because as a muse she’s pretty quiet and mostly wakes up to insist that we put on “talk dirty 2 me” and flex at attractive women for a while. maybe when i finally actually read the inheritance of rome and develop a specific cultural/historical context for her, she’ll be more active.

unfortunately, antiope’s not on this list. i had a lot of fun with her for a while, and she’s still kind of… in my mental cast of characters, but there’s so little of her. maybe i’ll return to her blog when we see her again in justice league, or when i read a really good book about greece, but until then, i’ll let the lesbian icon chill in her hammock and strum her lyre in the far corner of my mind.

i briefly had blogs for yellow diamond of SU and dr. seward of penny dreadful, as well as two separate multimuses. i don’t see myself returning to any of those blogs in the future. in terms of actual muse, i probably have the strongest sense of seward, still–she’s a character i value very much–but the PD fandom was very quiet even when i first made the blog; the incentive to return isn’t very strong.

@moiridiios, @amazonleader Do you ever stop and think about how these women haven’t been AROUND children in many many years (if at all) so Antiope probably has to rethink the way she trains grown women (daily, for hundreds or thousands of years) and apply in a way that his child not only learns, but also learns without visible injury, bruises or sprains or whatnot so that her mum doesn’t notice?

this is a really interesting question! i actually hadn’t thought of antiope celebrating any specifically roman festivals... i actually hadn’t thought particularly hard about her participation in any cult activity, which, more of a function of laziness + incomplete research than anything. why do you bring up veneralia specifically, anon?
