The manor remains quiet, for now, during these early mornings where only staff members are required to be awake for the preparations. Tonight will undoubtedly be another grand display of colors and food - just like every other Christmas - so Harriette takes the time now, reclining against soft pillows, wife resting on her chest, to run long fingers through soft curls, breath even, expression content, watching the snowfall against their window. "Merry Christmas dearest."

     She’s been awake for quite some time—her wife’s dulcet tone isn’t needed to rouse her from sleep when she’s already been watching the flakes drift past the glass for the past few hours, gathering on the sill (and she has the urge to climb out of bed and run her fingers through it, but she’ll have to wait on that). It’s Eurus’ second official Christmas with Harriette’s family, and yet it feels very much like the first: the same anxiety-ridden nerves that never seem to go away when she’s in the presence of the other Harts. If it ever fully leaves, it’ll be a bloody miracle…

     Nevertheless she turns her head slightly, facing her wife with the most content expression she’s able to concoct, and cuddling her lithe frame closer to her. “And to you,” she murmurs back. She’s quite tempted to ask if they can just stay in bed all day (and possibly escape off the snowy roof), but knowing how the Harts tend to celebrate, she’s quite aware that’s never going to happen. “When are we expected downstairs?” she asks instead, even though they’ve been over their Christmas Day schedule roughly seventeen times. She just likes hearing Harriette speak.

Nope. I already have a difficult time focusing, and music makes it impossible. I would love to be able to, though.

Not really anymore, but I certainly used to! I have a fondness for Fallout, so if I had to pick, probably that series? That or Skyrim.
