i apologize for my english. i'm (south) brazilian, it's not my first language.

Right now, in south Brazil, most in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, there are many floods happening. really bad ones.

Entire cities are basically underwater. Cities like Lageado, the state capital Porto Alegre, Canoas. Over 30 thousand people are displaced because their homes have been destroyed. Many more families have been affected.

this is the city of Lageado before and after the floods.

by the way, similar things happened last year in south brazil. my city had floods. this is a direct result of climate change. please, please bring attention to this.

hey guys! I know that this blog isn't about anything other than the celebrities and characters that I write for and read about, but I need to ask for some little help right now...

as some of you already know, I'm from Brazil, and a state from my country is announced to be in public disaster. it's been raining A LOT (more than usual) for days without stopping, and the force of it is causing dams to brake, all of them, which is causing extreme floods

right now, we have at least 10 WHOLE cities under complete water, at least 40 d3aths, more than 200 hurt and +/- 80 missing

more than 7 bridges broke, which is preventing people from evacuating, despite government requests. many are without water, electricity, internet, and food

the entire country is mobilizing, firefighters and soldiers from all states are going there to help, people are sending money to NGOs of anything that can help, but despite all this, I just wanted to ask you to pray for us and send positive energy! we really need it right now

we have never been through anything like this since Brazil is a country that is less likely to experience disasters like that, which is making everything more difficult, as we were not prepared...

we just hope it will all end soon ;( thank you!

Hello! Yesterday, after a lot of work and help from other people in the fandom, I managed to replicate almost perfectly the guapoduo/spiderbit wedding invitations! I did it in Portuguese, Spanish, English and French, which were the versions that Cellbit did, but I would like to do it in other languages too!

By the way, did you know that the name of the invitations, which I found on the internet, is "Amaranth Garland"? Yes, they bought the invitation to do RP and not just bought any design with any flower, it was >their flower<

Anyway, feel free to print and frame the invitations, but please, if you use them on montages or editions or idk, tag me on Twitter @valkyriachaos and/or here because it was A LOT of work! 🫡

! STATE OF CALAMITY IN THE SOUTH OF BRAZIL !

Hey guys! I'm here to share what's going on in the South of Brazil at the moment! If you could please share, so this can reach as many people as possible, I appreciate it!

Part of Rio Grande do Sul (south of the country) has been hit by HEAVY rain since Monday, nonstop rain. This has caused an extreme inundation all around the territory! The rivers and sewers can't handle that much water, this makes the levels go up, rapidly.

At the moment, 235 of the 497 cities in Rio Grande do Sul were affected. 23 thousand people were displaced, 7.949 in shelters, 74 injured, 38 deaths, 74 missing.

the green represents 'normal', the yellow 'warning', the orange 'flooded', red 'severe flood'.

I'm gonna show some pictures here and feel free to google some yourself! But let me warn you: there is some footage of people getting carried away by the flood, children being trapped under landslides and animals drowning.

most of these are from my town, there are Instagram pages documenting everything and reposting donations pages. I myself will not share these pages as I cannot confirm their veracity. But the government of the state has a transparent fund for those of Brazil who can lend a hand:

It's said the energy will be cut out shortly, most households don't have water to drink anymore. some cities are cut off from the rest of the society, they are lacking food too.
