Furuta Kazuki's (Kalim's seiyuu) comment to celebrate the release of the Character Song Collection album
How you felt and what you remember from the recording session:
I wanted to transmit the kind of distance and emotion that'd fit the song and convey the meaning of the lyrics properly through singing, so we worked on various approaches and tested them together to create the right impression.
For example, for the lyric "scorching sun" that is about something that's far from us, I sang by throwing my voice far away; for "scalding sand brushing against skin", since it's something that can be felt by your body, I sang it like my voice was raising from my feet!
Highlights of the song you've performed:
Because Kalim reduces his breathing as much as possible, his singing voice is lively and powerful.
On the other hand, I think Jamil's voice is rich, with a lot more breathing, so I'd like everyone to pay attention to the marriage of these two contrasting voices!
The song you want to sing at karaoke:
I think Jamil's solo is something only Kaname-kun could have sung thanks to his incredibly great singing and it's a song that demands a lot of vocal technique, but it'd be really cool if I could sing it, so I'd like to give it a try!!
Lastly, a message to the fans:
Each dorm's song has its own atmosphere and there's a lot of variety, so it's good to listen to them a lot depending on your mood!
I personally love them, so I'm happy they're finally available to everyone in CD form!
Futaba Kaname's (Jamil's seiyuu) comment to celebrate the release of the Character Song Collection album
How you felt and what you remember from the recording session:
I'm always conscious about how to portray Jamil's sense of emotional distance and attitude. I was impressed by how such subtle nuances were tweaked repeatedly so his inner feelings could be conveyed without expressing over-the-top emotions.
I carefully recorded the passion within the quietness.
Highlights of the song you've performed:
The charm of Jamil's song is the expression of feelings and struggles he can't show on the outside. Its sound is somewhat mysterious and, the more you listen to it, the more you discover new things about it. I'd be happy if you paid attention to the lyrics and sensed his inner self in them.
The song you want to sing at karaoke:
I can't leave out "Far-Out", the dorm's song. Its call-and-response lyrics and atmosphere make it pretty fun for karaoke. Jamil's song is pretty challenging so it's good singing practice if you want to level up your skills (laugh).
Lastly, a message to the fans:
Thank you for all your support.
With these songs, I think I have properly given shape to Jamil's charm as a character. I hope you'll listen to them repeatedly and enjoy his different expressions.
