Just wanted to say something to all the writers/authors on here:

Thank you for sharing your work.

Genuinely.

Writing is such a vulnerable thing to put out into the world, even when it’s fun, even when it’s silly, even when it’s spicy or self-indulgent or unserious. We post because we love it. We post because these stories make us excited. We post because there’s joy in finding people who want to scream about the same fictional characters with us.

But it can still be hard.

It can be hard to spend hours, days, weeks, sometimes months working on something and then put it in front of other people. It can be hard to share pieces of your imagination, your voice, your feelings, your comfort characters, and your creative choices with an audience. And it can be especially hard when people forget there’s an actual person on the other side of the screen.

So to the writers who keep showing up anyway, thank you.

Thank you for the time you spend drafting, editing, rewriting, formatting, tagging, answering asks, building worlds, creating comfort, and giving people something to look forward to.

And if you’re a reader, please remember that fanfic writers are doing this for free, for fun, and out of love. You do not have to like everything someone writes. Not every story will be for you, and that’s okay. But kindness costs nothing.

Writers deserve to protect their peace. Writers deserve to take breaks. Writers deserve to write what excites them without feeling like they have to please everyone all the time.

So much love to everyone still creating, still trying, still sharing pieces of themselves even when it feels hard.

Your work matters. Your joy matters too. 🤍
