I'm personally still baffled how Callum isn't more mad or at least uncomfortable being around Runaan, given the last time they interacted Runaan was trying to kill Ezran and Rayla and actually succeeded in killing his dad.

Like there's a huge difference between being okay being around Zubeia and being around Runaan. Because they've known Zubeia for 2 years now, they've been allies, both families have lost people to the other. It's balanced.

Runaan hasn't been around them since he was trying to kill them and succeeded in killing their dad, and he's an outsider to the personal conflict between the two families. They have no personal attachment to him other than him being Rayla's dad.

Personally, I'd be fine if Callum was initially more uncomfortable with Runaan than Zubeia, bc it's more visceral to be around someone who tried to kill you vs the person who gave the order (or simply didn't challenge it). But I wouldn't say Runaan isn't also an aggreived party. He did lose his friends (Rayla's parents) when Viren stole Zym's egg. They may not have been blood related, but they were close enough that Runaan took responsibility over Rayla. I wouldn't even call the blood feud between Zubeia and Callum's families a personal conflict, not bc it hasn't directly affected them, but bc it's so intertwined with the state of their kingdoms and ripples across other people's lives.

Callum reaction is also pretty much consistent with how the human-elf conflict is written for Callum and Ezran (for the most part). Be wronged, be the bigger person, and eventually with time you're good friends with people who tried to harm or kill you (and maybe succeeded a little). His girlfriend going on wife tried to kill him, so he can cut his father in law some slack for killing (but not really) his dad, especially if his dad's going to date Ethari's sister (as per a livestream... i think).
