Quickly growing tired of waiting for the other, the man allowed the palm of his hand to rest on the door frame with his arm extended out. His gaze had fallen to the ground, listening to the sound of footsteps move closer and closer until she was only a few feet away from him. The sound of the young woman’s voice demanding an answer caused Alexei to finally glance up to meet her gaze, the situation almost humorous to him as someone with so little power was demanding answers from someone of a clearly higher position. “I already told you…I know too much.” Alexei began, taking a few steps closer to the female until the two were inches apart. “There was a man, he walked up behind you…” As he spoke, the man moved behind the woman, his actions mimicking his every word. “He put his hand over your mouth to keep you from screaming and grabbed your arms so you couldn’t fight back.” Alexei played out his words, covering his hand over her mouth while his other hand linked her arms with his own to keep her from being able to move her arms forward. “But you don’t remember what happened because you were passed out.” Walking the woman into the common room and over to the leather couch, Alexei pushed the woman away from him, to take a seat. “You were put in the back of a van, and I won’t say what else I did to you.” Taking his own seat on the couch, he waited. Waited for the young woman to scream, or hit him or attempt to yell about what he did was wrong and he’d burn in hell for it. Regardless what she would possibly say, Alexei had heard it all before.

Molly was shocked into silence, nearly paralyzed as Alexei put his hand over her mouth and began to act out the kidnapping he described. Barely believing what she was hearing, tears burned in the corners of her eyes. She took a shaky breath in, moving backward away from him on the couch. “You’re a fucking monster.” She shook her head and shot him an angry, disbelieving stare. “But I would obviously remember if someone did that to me. You’re lying. You didn’t take me. You’re just a.... guard, or something, aren’t you?”

“REALLY?” MIKEL turned to the brunette again, brow raised in curiosity. “As far as I’m aware, this is one of the.. three? rooms pets have access to. You’d think that’d be an easy enough list to give out,” He laughed. “I think you’re allowed outdoors, just not on the beach. So there’s not much point unless you’re aiming for a cabin.”

Molly shook her head at the man. “Nope, never got a list. But being outside at all would be amazing, if we’re really allowed. I think just the fresh air might stop me from going crazy, honestly. It’d be something.”

All the while Molly went on about how she wasn’t being difficult, the man stood there, looking down at her with an arched brow. He had only mentioned she was less difficult in comparison to other pets, but clearly he had set her off. “I’d hate to see what you are like difficult.” Alexei retorted before falling silent for a brief moment to contemplate what he should tell her and what should be left unsaid. “I know more than you want me to. Come follow. Stop talking.” He stated, proceeding to walk down the hall without bothering to wait for her. Once Alexei reached the doors to the common room he stopped, watching the other until she was finally caught up. “You can come here, without anyone.” Pushing the door open, Alexei waited for the other to walk inside.

Realizing that Alexei wasn’t going to stop and wait for her, Molly scowled and reluctantly ran after him. She didn’t take kindly to being chastised and talked to like a child, but he still had information she desperately wanted. Once he reached the common room, she managed to catch up up with him, but she already knew what the common room was, and in her current state it angered her that he probably thought she was too stupid to find the common room on her own. Molly stopped and stood in front of him in the doorway, just a little bit too close for comfort. “What. Do. You. Know?” She sounded slightly exasperated, but was slowly gaining the confidence to speak louder. “Just tell me something. Anything. About how I, specifically, was taken.” She crossed her arms and stared straight up at him, their height difference evident.

A short nod of affirmation was all he gave when he saw how sick the notion seemed to make her. She hadn’t been ready to hear it after all. That didn’t come as a surprise but the forced smile tugged at his chest, knowing his family, his father, was the reason she was even here to begin with. “Yeah, I’ll make sure you have fun to get your mind of things. Promise,” he smiled reassuringly as he began to walk to their destination.

Molly took a deep breath and really tried to smile. “Thanks, I’m sure it will help a little. I really love the beach.” She followed close behind him as they left the mansion, willing herself to act at least somewhat sociable and normal since he was being so kind to her. “By the way, what’s your name? I’m Molly.”

MIKEL MERELY NODDED in reply, taking advantage of the idea that he didn’t necessarily need to go on. Comforting people wasn’t necessarily his forte, so to speak. “Oh, uh —— just looking around, I suppose,” he shrugged, glancing back at the flora again. “Like you said, it’s rather nice in here. Thought I’d look around and all,” he reached out to run his fingers over a nearby flower, “I would assume that’s why you came in here in the first place too, isn’t it?”

Molly managed a small smile as she looked at some of the plants. “Yeah. I didn’t know this room existed before now though. I was just exploring, and I came across it. But it seems like a really nice alternative to being outside, since I assume we’re not really allowed to go outside here.”

“I know everyone who is new.” He stated bluntly, hardly going into detail with no desire to explain in further detail what he knew and didn’t know. After a moment of standing still, Alexei allowed his hand to move slowly down to her lower back, allowing his hand to linger there for a moment before he finally removed his hand from the young woman. “It’s nothing special, I’ve had to deal with more difficult ones than you…” The man trailed off, only bothering to glance back at the young woman to see her reaction in regards to what he had just told her.

A chill really ran up Molly’s spine once the man lowered his hand down to the small of her back, causing her to turn and gaze up at him with annoyance. “What do you mean difficult? This is not me being difficult.” Her voice took on a sort of defiant edge then, possibly because Molly realized she wished he hadn’t removed his hand from her back just that second. But he was still being irritatingly vague, and her situation in general had been putting her on edge for days. She stopped short as he walked forward, crossing her arms. “What do you know about how I got here? Tell me.”
