My first finished knitting project. I've been trying to teach myself to knit (on and off) for the last 3 years. I finally finished something!

My melodic daughter
Yay for my table. After a lot of backtracking and adjustments and learning that what is in my head doesn't necessarily equal reality and may not be achievable in real life, I'm done. Now on to chairs and a bench. And to wait for more reasonable temperatures to really enjoy my hard work.
I have been collecting these racially insensitive named recipes attributed to Paula Deen today. I trolled twitter hashtag “#PaulasBestDishes” and came up with these. These are the best ones so far, some are hysterical. They are written by tweeters from the world over (I only wrote two myself)....
Red Tea soap
Woo hoo. Started making soap again. Cucumber, melon, aloe.
My callas are coming up. After years and years, for the first time, I think they are all going to bloom. Still waiting on three more.
Nothing beats homemade ice cream. This is strawberry. Other favorites… mango and peach. Can’t stand most peach things, but fresh off the tree peach is luscious.
Artichoke plant made 5 perfect artichokes this year. After rinsing off a couple of free-loaders (ants), they are delicious. Don't know if it's in my head, but homegrown artichokes taste so much better. More artichokey. Or maybe it's because they are fresher. Who knows. All I know is: I know exactly what was (nothing) put on them.
This is a table that an old boyfriend refurbished for me. As you can tell it was years and years ago. I decided to update it a little. The idea was to use only supplies I had here at the house. I'm a craft hoarder so that wasn't a problem. The only thing purchased was a $4 tube of caulk. Tiles, paint, stain, mortar all from other projects. Upcycling an upcycle. Maybe one day one of the kids will redo it again...
