071426 - Summer in the City
Oh, tumblr, have not checked in in too damn long. Years have gone past, the latest post on it was when I made a bunch of weird ai slop pictures back when people could play around with it without being demonized. I use it sometimes, like I would a shovel or keyboard. It wastes water indeed... everything else on the internet does too, no? Am I crazy? Shut it down, or what? Figure out a better way to cool the servers and leave us out of it.
Found out an old chum is bigoted from another chum a couple days ago, haven't hung out with him in years. Still hurts. Sometimes the trash takes itself out I guess, but I'll miss the idea we'd meet up and visit again. I'm in mourning, just got to remember the good times.. (1996-2018)
I have a multitude of tracks at different levels of completeness that I'm in no rush to finish prematurely. No time to rush. Only ruins magic when you rush it. Still learning lots. Have given up on the idea of performing live with a guitar/amp, maybe one day I'll figure out the one man band set up with a dj controller w one of my behringer synths w the MPC one brain, maybe I won’t. The most important thing is turning on the computer turning on the daw and just having fun in the process. Period. Doesn't have to go further than that really. Gotta keep it simple. Not like I'm making money or reaching any ears. Just enjoy for enjoyment's sake. Releases will come. And you know what? I had an album on the go, a full length, then October 7th happened and started the Israeli meat grinder in Gaza into high gear and that really sucked the wind out of my creative sails (and has continued to drain my spirits to this very day). #FREEPALESTINE!!! Then slightly before Halloween that same year some goof decided to attack his poor family, and even killed a couple of them and then himself. Happened just a few blocks away from our old place. Then an old friend died that I loved. Then my Auntie Lana passed on too, a woman who partially raised me as a little kid. ugh. All of this happened just before my basement sprung a leak in my new place and my studio had to be put on ice for 9 months... but it could be worse.
The studio is back in full effect. My family is healthy and happy, I have a few hobbies and am looking into a new exciting one that I can share with my family.
