When I start bingeing a show, I do not merely watch the show. I search them up on Tumblr and follow the tags and bloggers that post about the show. I reblog fanart. I go on Wattpad. I find headcannons that are so much better than the cannon. I ship characters with a passion that I should reserve for my future ‘love of my life’. When I discover a new show, I do not watch it. 

I join it.

Devilman Guide

Have you ever wanted to get into Devilman but weren’t sure where to start? Hopefully this post will clear things up for you!

Devilman is a hugely influential manga created by Go Nagai in the early 1970s. Many plot elements in Japanese media since then can be traced back to Devilman. To give some examples, Neon Genesis Evangelion (including Rebuild), Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and the Shin Megami Tensei series all contain plot elements with either a strong resemblance to Devilman or reference it directly. Even Kaworu from Evangelion, who has spawned many copies himself, is heavily inspired by Devilman’s Ryo. If you want to read an intense yet silly manga while simultaneously gaining a deeper understanding of the origin of Japanese media made since the 1970s, Devilman is worth checking out.

Eddie Munson was a gifted kid who grew up in poverty and neglect without the nurturing environment he desperately needed.

He was neurodivergent and hyperactive.

He coped in high school by experimenting with drugs, skipping school, making himself to be the most expressive and obnoxious in any room, and kept himself preoccupied with hobbies, friends and a fictional world to avoid any thought of his actual future.
