@momslineswork-blog
I'll be back soon!! Sorry!! SDCC killed me.
As y'all know, I’m ghosting outside SDCC this year. So I’ll be on at night and possibly occasionally throughout the day when I’m at starbucks. Replies will be slow, im sorry!
Starter call. Like if you want one~
“You’re the one that helped save my sons. Thank you.”
A shrug pulled over his shoulders, wondering the same thing himself. He did not see why someone’s face would have the ability to melt, but then again…
 “Whatever that is.”Â
His gaze narrowed, almost in a suspicious manner.Â
“People don’t spontaneously melt. Especially if you smear their makeup everywhere.”Â
She gave the man a frustrated look once more before moving to reapply the rich red to her lips. The boys didn’t know, but she was supposed to go on a date later that night.Â
✥    “ I- I know, Mom” Gray whispered before         turning to look out of the window again.       “When can we see Dad?”
Her face fell a little at her son’s words. It pained     her, seeing him hurt like this. “He’s still getting     settled in his place, honey. He told me he’d call     me as soon as it was ready for you and your     brother to visit.”
Gray leaned on the door frame, listening to his mother and considering what he’d eavesdropped on.
“We could have sparklers instead?” He knew that explosions scared Zach, and him a little, especially after having bombs rained down on them, and watching one of the Velociraptors burst into flames near their faces.
The sound of her youngest’s voice startled her, the woman turning to face him, the phone still tucked between her shoulder and ear.Â
“Let me call you back.” The phone was quickly put aside in favor of her son. “Would you be alright with that? Sparklers?” Karen moved to him, hands moving to rest on his shoulders reassuringly. “If you and your brother want, we can just stay in the house and watch movies instead.”
Hey friends. I planned to get on but I need to go meet up with my mother to go to urgent care. Once that’s all managed I will hopefully be on a little tonight.
“You know you can tell me anything, honey.”
Like for a starter, guys. I'll be home soon!
“Your face is…”
A pause. Eyebrows knitted together, searching for the correct term.
 "Melting.“Â
Of course she was. Or else she would not be smudging as so. Just when he thought he understood these strange little creatures, something else would throw him off.Â
“Why would my face be melting?” Her frown only deepened as she shoved the crumpled tissue back into her bag. “That’s ridiculous to say. And now I’ve got to redo my lipstick.”
Did I go outside in Claire Dearing cosplay (sans heels because lazy) to light sparklers and take photos? Yes I did.
“I don’t know if fireworks are a good idea this year. I don’t want to scare the boys, and Scott was the one who handled all of that....”
Continuing to press his fingers against her lips, his head tilted in utter confusion. What in hell was that? The lipstick continued to smear as he dragged his finger all over, having intentions on going for the eyes next. Huh. He wondered if that would smudge,  too.
Karen’s lips pursed in both disgust and frustration before she pushed the man away, reaching into her pocket to wipe away the remnants of her lipstick. “What the heck is wrong with you?”
She may not be a dinosaur, but she’ll still bite your finger off if you don’t move soon.Â
