"Jerry Anderson was a quack doctor. He was a veterinarian student, there's no way he knew how to make a cure."
I have seen comment after comment disparaging Jerry just based on his education focus and level when the outbreak happened. I understand people's various beliefs about the validity of the cure, but one thing I will never understand is this widespread assumption that Jerry spent the 20 years after the outbreak Not Educating himself or putting his medical knowledge into actual practice? Dude was an experienced surgeon by pure necessity, because he was one of the only surgeons available in a world with danger around every corner. Add on top of that, his intelligence and work towards learning what needed to be learned for a cure?
It doesn't Matter that he wasn't a fully fledged doctor 20 years ago, he clearly has had enough resources and opportunities to expand his expertise since.
